What's the news on Rahm Emanuel bill on cutting funding for the VP office?
There is nothing on his website, not even a mention of his statement.

1. Crickets? Why wouldn't he mention this on his site?

Democratic Caucus Chairman Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-IL) plans
to introduce an amendment to the the Financial Services and
General Government Appropriations bill to cut funding for Cheney's office.

2. My guess is he was being facetious.
He has no plans to do what he said, he was making fun of Cheney.

4. OK, nothing like empty threats
Maybe he will keep his word and not sell it to the highest bidder.

8. I called his office. .
and I said I had read what he suggested, and that I thought it was an elegant idea, and that even though I'm not one of his constituents, I would be watching the internet and his web page for what kind of follow-up there would be. . . and I was just as perky and pleasant and encouraging as any brand new Democrat could be.

9. Thanks and I would encourage others to call
You are such a diplomat. I'm a little to "fair and balanced" in my temper right now about him.

10. Diane Feinstein said on Sunday Show....it's something we might look into...
when asked about Rahm's comment. Of course she's Senate...so she can't cut funding unless Rahm introduces it.

14. No news, but I hear he's picking up some undeserved 'street cred'.
Which is the point of all this talk anyway.
