Here's Your Senatorial Target List For The 2008 Elections
As the anger grows in this country, some of these "safe" seats, may not be so safe pretty soon.

And remember, the Senate is where things are easily blocked, filibustered, and where they will act as jury to convict, or acquit, if any Impeachment were to actually take place.

2008 Senate Races:

Interim senators

John Barrasso (R) of Wyoming

Retiring senators

Wayne Allard (R) of Colorado

Possible retiring senators

Joe Biden (D) of Delaware
Thad Cochran (R) of Mississippi
Larry Craig (R) of Idaho
Chuck Hagel (R) of Nebraska
Tim Johnson (D) of South Dakota
John Warner (R) of Virginia

Democratic incumbent races

Max Baucus of Montana
Dick Durbin of Illinois
Tom Harkin of Iowa
John Kerry of Massachusetts
Mary Landrieu of Louisiana
Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey
Carl Levin of Michigan
Mark Pryor of Arkansas
Jack Reed of Rhode Island
Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia

Republican incumbent races

Lamar Alexander of Tennessee
Saxby Chambliss of Georgia
Norm Coleman of Minnesota
Susan Collins of Maine
John Cornyn of Texas
Elizabeth Dole of North Carolina
Pete Domenici of New Mexico
Michael Enzi of Wyoming
Lindsey Graham of South Carolina
Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma
Mitch McConnell of Kentucky
Pat Roberts of Kansas
Jeff Sessions of Alabama
Gordon Smith of Oregon
Ted Stevens of Alaska
John Sununu of New Hampshire

It's never too early to apply pressure.

:patriot:

And before I get blasted for "targeting" Democrats, remember you can target people for support, as well as target them for removal. I thought the list would be more complete with a list of everybody running... and apparently... retiring.

1. Good time to start tieing every RRR to support for * and staying in Iraq.
Photo ops with * are handy as well--and most of 'em were all too happy to have all of the above in the past few years.

2. I hope Liddy Dole goes down!!!
She was the chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee during the last Congress, and she therefore oversaw the loss of six seats in the Senate (and the Republican majority) during last November's elections. Hopefully, this will cause her to suffer some backlash from Republican voters in North Carolina next year. Combine this with her pro-war stance that should turn off many Independents and Democrats, and that should make her Senate seat ripe for the Democrats to take next year.

:)

When you have 1/2 the Dems voting for the bankruptcy bill and most of them afraid to end this war,
we can only hope we'll get a bumper crop of tough Democrats.

Senate Pool

2008 Senate Races:

Interim senators

• John Barrasso (R) of Wyoming ???

Retiring senators

• Wayne Allard (R) of Colorado (Dem win with e-voting cleanup in Denver. Denver went 80-20% Kerry)

Possible retiring senators

• Joe Biden (D) of Delaware DINO
• Thad Cochran (R) of Mississippi "NEVER"
• Larry Craig (R) of Idaho "LOT'S MORE NEVER"
• Chuck Hagel (R) of Nebraska "NAH" (Hagel 85% - Dem 15% last time out. Of course, Hagel owned a big chunk of voting machine company but he comes after people who connect this so my comment is for information purposes only. The connection between the company, state law, and the out sized Hagel win was pure coincidence.)
• Tim Johnson (D) of South Dakota WIN
• John Warner (R) of Virginia (Tough but Warner is infinitely better than another Republican nominee)

Democratic incumbent races

• Max Baucus of Montana WIN
• Dick Durbin of Illinois WIN
• Tom Harkin of Iowa WIN
• John Kerry of Massachusetts WIN
• Mary Landrieu of Louisiana DINO (Ethnic cleansing of her base, NOLA, means even more DINO like)
• Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey WIN
• Carl Levin of Michigan WIN
• Mark Pryor of Arkansas DINO
• Jack Reed of Rhode Island WIN
• Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia WIN

Republican incumbent races

• Lamar Alexander of Tennessee (Up for grabs. Alexander is a stiff)
• Saxby Chambliss of Georgia (Dem wins if e-voting fixed, "Cleland's revenge")
• Norm Coleman of Minnesota DEM WIN
• Susan Collins of Maine ???
• John Cornyn of Texas (Would win but totally locked down)
• Elizabeth Dole of North Carolina ???
• Pete Domenici of New Mexico DEM WIN, (Iglesias stole Pete's mojo)
• Michael Enzi of Wyoming ???
• Lindsey Graham of South Carolina "NEVER"
• Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma DEM WIN (my wild card pick, populist)
• Mitch McConnell of Kentucky REP WIN (Birthplace of modern election fraud, NFW)
• Pat Roberts of Kansas REP WIN (theocracy without much hope or we'll get a DINO)
• Jeff Sessions of Alabama "NEVER" (Look what they did to Sigelman, who'd run as a Dem)
• Gordon Smith of Oregon DEM WIN
• Ted Stevens of Alaska DEM WIN (Dems organized and know 2004 was stolen there, furious)
• John Sununu of New Hampshire REP WIN (Well placed machines)
---------------
WITH DINO WINS, WE'RE STILL OUT OF POWER UNLESS THE DINOS GET PRESSURE.

Maybe 2010. Maybe tough Democratic president, real one, in WH shapes these suckers up.
("tough Democratic president" i.e., Gore - i.e. - "true meaning")
