So, if Cheney is not, as he claims, an "entity of the executive branch"
because of his other role as president of the Senate, then he must be an entity of the legislative branch, which means that the same laws apply to him as to other members of Congress. Which means that he is not protected by executive privilege, or any of the established law or tradition regarding separation of powers. Which means that he can be tried for and convicted of crimes committed in office just like any other senator or congressman, without having to impeach and convict him according to the procedures outlined in the Constitution for removal from office of members of the executive branch. So, what the hell is congress waiting for? They've already received Cheney's personal written invitation!
