The story so far...
The Plame thing fizzled.

The Vice President is above the law.

The President is at 26% approval rate.

Scandal after scandal is the norm.

The CIA releases it's so called "Crown Jewels"...why now?

The war is still slumping along with no end in sight.

Scooter is not ratting anyone out.

Impeachment is off the table.

Obama with the experience of akin to a city manager is running for President. For us.

Hillary Clinton is equally reviled by hard left democrats and republican morons.

The congress has done nothing.

Our party played bully and got knocked in the dirt.

Jimmy Carter calls out the moron, then apologizes right on cue.

Apology classes are being held at the DLC.

None of our candidates has uttered the word "universal health care".

All our candidates say "Michael Moore who?"

Triangulating democratic posuers keep their "powder dry"

Gay rights or basic human rights for all is still years away, even if a Democrat gets elected...which possible they will not with our Spanky's gang of candidates.

Main stream democrats are actually thinking of voting for a Rockefeller republican.

Our current conundrum will not be solved through traditional or linear means exclusively. IMHO

It's worth a shot I figure.

Nothing else is working and it's free, free, free.

7. Obama, at least, isn't afraid to say the words.
http://www.barackobama.com/2007/05/29/obama_offers_universal_health.php

"The time has come for universal, affordable health care in America," Obama said in remarks prepared for delivery Tuesday in Iowa City.

A copy of his remarks and documents describing the program were obtained by The Associated Press.

Obama's plan retains the private insurance system but injects additional money into the system to pay for expanding coverage. It would also create a National Health Insurance Exchange to monitor insurance companies in offering the coverage.

Those who can't afford coverage would get a subsidy on a sliding scale depending on their income, and virtually all businesses would have to share in the cost of coverage for their workers. The plan that would be offered would be similar to the one covering members of Congress.

His package would prohibit insurance companies from refusing coverage because of pre-existing conditions.

8. First, those private systems have to buy some heavy brand recognition
http://www.dispatch.com/dispatch/content/health/stories/2007/06/22/childrens_logo.ART_ART_06-22-07_B1_2D737N6.html

Columbus Children's Hospital will officially change its name to Nationwide Children's Hospital on Sept. 24, honoring the $50 million gift from the local insurer announced by the hospital a year ago.

Nationwide's gift is the second-largest in the nation for a children's hospital. Nationwide Children's will be one of at least 10 children's hospitals named after a benefactor.

Other major donors will have areas within the hospital named for them. The Abercrombie & Fitch Emergency Department and Trauma Center will recognize that firm's $10 million contribution. The Limited Too and Justice Main Lobby will be named after those local companies, whose parent company -- formerly Too Inc., now Tween Brands -- gave $5 million to Children's.

"His package would prohibit insurance companies from refusing coverage because of pre-existing conditions."

ummm...would it cap how much they could charge people with pre-existing conditions for coverage? if the coverage is prohibitively expensive, you end up with the same results as an outright refusal to cover.

obama's announced "plan" is just another insurance-industry bailout. in his defense(?), it was probably penned by the good folks at the dlc, with lots of input from their insurance-industry lobbyist friends.

single-payer universal healthcare coverage is the ONLY solution.

9. There are major investigations of RNC influence in government and voting
irregularities.

The Democratic party has not even opened its mouth about it. DLCers/DC Dems pretend everything is A-okay.

Now why is that?

Kucinich has mentioned "universal health care". And when
he said it at the NH State Democratic convention, the
crowd went wild with applause and cheers.
