Kucinich with Norah O'Donnell *Great Interview*
Check it out-Norah is rude as usual but Kucinich makes many great points.

Norah thinks since Dennis is one of the only one calling for cutting off the funding, he is extreme.

But the fact is, Dennis has been right all along, and he is the one speaking for the people.

Just because the rest of them go along with Bush, doesn't make them right.

7. I expected her to snap and say "I am, like, totally too cool for this interview, or some junk"
in a teen valley girl voice.

4. Great interview.
And... well, Wes Clark wasn't for the war, either - but, of course, Whora isn't going to mention him.

They don't want us to hear from Clark. They WANT to marginalize Kucinich. Corporate shills.

6. Norah O'Donnell is a total snot, but this is really my first impression of Dennis...
If I could sum up Kucinich in two words, based on what I saw, it would be "no frills". No expansive rhetoric whatsoever. A clear position in as few words as possible. Also, I liked that he wouldn't let her control the interview completely.

17. If Kucinich had the apparent charisma (and looks) of Barack, he'd be a shoe-in!!

Alas, too many voters focus on superficial features.

37. ooooooooooeeeeeee. What a pair!
I saw them in SF last Saturday night. Dennis was right on, and at question and answer, a few people gave him a hard time for not pushing impeachment and 9-11 inquiries. Does one man have to do everything!!??

8. Dennis speaks for me, too!
I can't watch the interview (slow dialup), unfortunately, but I do know how great Dennis is at speaking truth. Hearing him speak at a campaign rally was one of the highlights of 2004 for me.

Thanks for posting this!

14. Does she take nasty and rude pills in the morning with her
stupid pills? Or, is all that Katherine Harris style makeup being absorbed through her pores and poisoning the rest of her brain?

I'm happy that Dennis is taking an extreme position opposite to the extreme position of aiding and abetting a criminal war we had no business in. There was a man two thousand years ago who did the same thing and was crucified for it.

Yet, his principles have been passed down to us through the ages. Now, I'm not saying Jesus was god or the other claims made for him. I'm just saying he spoke truth to power just like Dennis is now. When all the Norah O'Donnells are dust, Dennis Kucinich will be remembered for his words.

...I am sure I will be banned sooner rather than later for shooting my mouth off. Why aren't they impeaching Bush? I feel betrayed and can't stand it anymore. I wish there were at least four parties to choose from. This sux.

Edited on Sat Feb-03-07 04:08 PM by KCabotDullesMarxIII
You're the only one who says that and nine other people say the opposite, (superior smile!).

How do politicians like Kuchinich and other leading Dems hold back from saying to her (and to the numerous, other Bushite air-heads like her):

"You're really very naive, aren't you? Do you really think that following the herd is to merely acknowledge the definitive authority in every situation? This is not a school playground we're talking about, you know. You should have left peer-pressure deference behind you at high school.

Sometimes it is appropriate to defer to an authoritative voice, but never uncritically, and certainly not as a general rule. Do you feel that you should act as a cheerleader for every majority you report on?

Since, however, you've raised the issue of authority, however unwittingly, would it not be appropriate for YOU to refrain from repeatedly shouting ME down? Or maybe you think I should be interviewing you."
