Bag of Nothing at www.bagofnothing.com notes the British poster from World War II:

"KEEP CALM and CARRY ON."

Not found was the World War II poster:

"THE NAZIS WILL FOLLOW US HOME SO CARRY ON HYSTERICALLY."

Must be in somebody's attic.

1. I think that is the tactic of provocation, particularly on Iraq and Iran
The Bush Administration knows it has already lost all chance of any military "victory" by it's own measures in Iraq. So, it hopes to incite hysteria among war opponents at home and add to a general strategy of tension in order to provoke Iran into doing something stupid.

The idea is: if you lose a war, start a bloody big war, and everyone will forget about the small mistakes.
