Write your Representative...we need to keep on 'em!

I just wrote my Congresswoman (Tammy Baldwin, D-WI):

Dear Rep. Baldwin,

I am writing to urge you to support any and all efforts to impeach Vice President Richard Cheney and President George Bush. These men have thumbed their nose at the Constitution and the People of this great Nation for far too long. Vice President Cheney's latest refusal to cooperate with the Oversight Committee, claiming that his office is "not part of the Executive Branch."<should have said here "is the latest in a series of outrages."> While it is true that the Vice President's voting power is in the Senate, the Constitution also states that the President and VP are part of the "same Team", and as such should still be subject to Executive Branch oversight. Please support the efforts of Rep. John Conyers and others to bring the horrific crimes against our Republic commited by the Executive to light, and to make them answer to The People for their misdeeds.

Unless we let our representatives know that we are paying attention and are outraged, nothing will be done.

It still amazes me that when Clinton was in office, Republicans were ruthless, wasting taxpayer money on investigations left and right, and they didn't give a damn what the public thought, although the media certainly helped feed the fake outrage about the whole blowjob in office thing. Now, most Dems act terrified to even mention the "I" word (Impeachment). What are they so damn afraid of?
