8. i remember his dumb-ass, making all those 'points' during the Clinton witch hunts asking...
theeee longest, run-on, what-if questions in the history of television while trashing the overall dem position in the process...i'm thinking dude needs to know, that we know from whence he came

23. It seems as many times as I watch, when he has the GOP on he bashes Democrats
and when he has Democrats on, he bashes the GOP. Everyone in Washington understands this; he's been doing it for years. Just like every other talk show.

3. Well, a little...
Mostly, I turn it on while I'm doing something else (like hanging here) until I hear the Countdown leadin music. :)

7. He has limited himself to preliminary proto theoretical election coverage
lately , making himself irrelevant and annoying while he simultaneously ignores the giant political stories of the day:

Gitmo, Dick Cheney's alternate universe, supoenas, Gonzo-gate, etc.

A complete tool, not even smart enough to make his topics au courant.

20. When I say almost never, I never watch his program Hardball,
...but when there is a YouTube video posted here on DU involving Tweeter, I'll take a look at the snippet, but I'm almost convinced he has nothing really to say, so I have not even watched these for some time now

14. I haven't watched him regularly in quite some time - I find him very unprepared
If someone disagrees with him and makes a great point, he cuts them off. He seems to have a very narrow beltway view of the world and only seems to be concerned with beltway people, even though American politics is much broader than that. He doesn't seem to read the books of the guests he interviews. He doesn't seem to have the facts at his fingertips and doesn't do his homework. I can take a right-slanted show like Tweety's if the host is intelligent and reasonably bases his opinions on facts. That's a rarity in TV today and certainly not characteristic of Matthews. That's why I only rarely watch him now.

18. I stopped watching because, aside from how annoying he is,
I realized this was entertainment, not political discussion. And remember, at the time I was married to an entertainer and did production. Busman's holiday. lol

:hi:

when it's rerun at midnight in CA. Pisses my husband off no end! " Why are you watching this loud asshole"?

I do have to start being nicer to hubby and not watch it!
