Feeding people.
The hunters supplying venison for people thread has me a little pissed off. Kind of like the Edward's house threads pissed me off.

How many of you people doing the bitching invite a homeless person into your household, feed them at your table? If you don't do that simple thing, you have absolutely NO right to be snotty about anyone trying to do SOMETHING to help.

Our government should do this, but it doesn't and it falls upon us. Food, a simple meal, is something everyone has a right to. These "nasty" hunters are doing their part. Anyone who can't respect that basic generosity has a screw lost.

1. Wait, people are bitching about hunters giving food to hungry people?
They should piss off, that's ridiculous.

2. There are many, many people up here
who don't eat if they don't hunt and fish. That's just a simple fact. Anyone who hunts for food (or to help supply food to the hunger) has my pat on the back.

I had to give up hunting due to injury, but I can promise that whatever meat we get, we eat, including bear, moose, caribou, grouse etc.

The only hunting I hate is trophy hunters.

3. I volunteer three nights a month--and any other time I'm called in
at the local homeless shelter. I give money to anyone who comes to my office in need of food or shelter.

But I don't understand people who enjoy killing animals.

5. I don't understand it either, but --
at least the outcome was that hungry people got fed.

I don't really care if the hunter eats the meat as long as someone does and it doesn't go to waste.

6. I find it unhealthy to enjoy killing living creatures. That whole macho thing
disturbs me.

4. Wow, synchronisity
I was just about to point some of this out theremon that nasty thread then and thought otherwise.

To me the only value of the left thaqt matters, that makes us better than the right is compassion.

But some have their agendas that they must grind.

Why the hell even be a liberal left winger if you don't give two ultimate shits for people.
