Titanium Backbone Implants, or Creatively Funding the VA Gap
I figure the thread that motivated this one got locked, deleted or something. It was about Dipshit claiming he wasn't going to "block" any increases in VA funding the Democrats may wish to push through, but some cuts to other programs would have to be made.

Since our elected Democrats occasionally need a bit of help in the spinal fortitude department, I'd like to take this opportunity to recommend a few programs which could be cut back, or eliminated, to cover the two gaps in VA funding: the approximately $5 billion gap between what Fearless Leader wants and what Congress is prepared to provide, and the approximately $50 million gap between what Congress wants and what the VA actually needs.

Let's start with No Child Left Untested. We're spending a couple billion a year on Neil Bush's nest egg. Once you get past children asking if this is going to be on the test, though, we don't really get that much for it. Start by dropping NCLB completely out of the budget. Neil will have to rely on his 401(k) like the rest of us.

The Neue Berliner Mauer simply must be the next item on the list. The Republicans want to spend billions to construct a replica of the Berlin Wall (the part of it that was closest to Andrews Barracks was a double strand of chainlink fence) along the US/Mexico border to keep Mexicans from illegally crossing into the country. The most conservative estimate of the cost of this fence is $2.2 billion.

And how could we ever forget ditching the TSA Screening Nazis and the No-Fly List in favor of a simple, easy-to-understand, time-honored method for screening airline passengers: if fifteen men show up at the ticketing booth and all they have with them are one-way tickets they paid for in cash, wet spots on the front of their pants from pissing themselves, and copies of "Do You Get New Virgins Every Couple of Months, and Other Mysteries of the Koran Revealed" and "Hijacking Airliners for Dummies" in their carry-ons, don't let them on the plane.

I'm kinda betting that if you were to cut Bush down to only one trip to Crawford a month, you could house and care for at least seven or eight wounded soldiers. Better: fly the fucker to Crawford and leave him there. It's not like he can't just pick up his STU-III secure phone and do all the presidentin' he's ever going to do from the comfort of his own bed.

1. Re the vets, I know the hell I've been through the last forty years...
I'm crying for our Brothers and Sisters in arms from the present conflicts.
