2. Funny thing is...
If I go to Australia and do the same thing...I'm sure I'd find plenty who were equally stupid.

I loved the question: name a country that starts with a "U"? The look on their faces as they tried to figure it out was priceless.

Part of this was shot in San Antonio, which means lots could have been tourists. Some of it was shot in L.A. Maybe others of you recognize other locations.

25. Did you see the part where he had a map and asked them where
such and such a country was located? And they had Australia mislabeled as different countries? Or was it Malaysia? And they actually pointed to it because it was labeled as the country they were looking for.

4. How did they find so many Fox News viewers for
one 9 minute piece?

Seriously, THIS is why we are in such a mess today. The dumbing down of America has reached critical mass.

5. I bet 90+% of the people interviewed still support *
Can't name a country starting with 'U'! Identify Australia as Korea, France, Iraq! Helps explain who those 28% who still support * are.

9. yeah, there are completely uniformed people everywhere
and if I spent a few hours in France, the UK, Russia or Australia I could make a video that made them look just as stupid as well. I will say however that I find it funny and somehow at the same time scary...

10. Now, to be completely honest,
about that question 'name a land that starts with U' - I was thinking Uganda, Uruguay, but I didn't even think of the United States until he mentioned it to the blonde. I'm Norwegian.

13. LOL no we didn't.
I can't remember any other countries that start with a U either, but I could answer pretty much all of his questions. But then, I have a univeristy education, and am a teacher. Ask any of my students, they might have trouble with some of them, but not with Tony Blair, where Iraq is, and questions such as these. Norwegian media is a lot better at informing the public about the rest of the world.

15. I was struck that no one mentioned that the map was not correct
I know we as a country are geographically challenged, but I was surprised that not one person said that map is totally wrong. Instead, they just stuck their flags in it and went about their day. :(

21. i felt sorry for the people who went along with the guy pretending to be the aussie premier...
i thought they were just being polite. even if you had your doubts about someone claiming that, if they ask you if you recognise them i think you're going to err on the side of politeness.

everyone else was pretty dumb though.

"California, New York, Florida".

(While most of the respondents obviously don't have a clue, there are a few that are being sarcastic or just giving the 'reporter' a dose of his own medicine).

31. At least the Californians seemed relatively harmless
in their ignorance (and I can tell you from considerable experience that that's a fairly representative sample of what you'd find on Venice beach).

The Texans on the other hand were downright scary.
