As a philosophical matter, what role do you feel government should play in dealing with artistic and cultural content?

1. I don't know if it can have a fixed role
Certainly some great works of art have been created under the auspices of a government of some kind or another. In architecture it's almost unavoidable. On the other hand it's hard to see how government involvement in Poetry produces any benefit at all.

The trouble is the R's have terrible sense of color and fabrics.
