Who's administration is more corrupt Clinton's or Bush's?
Edited on Wed Jun-13-07 10:06 AM by romantico
Trying to debate someone who feels Bush is smarter than Clinton just because of the stuff Bush has gotten away with. I say Bush may be luckier, but smarter? Also, was anyone indicted in Clinton's Admin.?

1. bu$h had a congress that helped him commit his crimes
Clinton was investigated by Congress for almost his entire Presidency and all they could nail him on was adultery

enough said.

2. One person -- Web Hubble, IIRC
And he was convicted of bilking his law firm's clients which had no connection to his job at the Whitehouse.

3. I don't see any comparison.
As mentioned, Clinton was under investigation for years, and very little was found.

Bush, on the other hand, has been given a free ride thus far, and his actions and dirty deeds will likely make Nixon's tenure in office look like Nixon was a saint.

George Bush is the worst President ever, the most corrupt, the most irresponsible, the most idiotic, and the most unqualified. Period.

4. The BushCo regime has bankrupted the US Treasury with

their corruption and ineptitude. This after Clinton left them a budgetary surplus going in to their reign of terror.

5. Clinton didn't "get away with as much as Bush" because ...
Clinton wasn't as dishonest. And the only reason Bush gets away with it still is the Democrats don't have enough of a majority to be able to remove him from office. It has nothing to do with Bush's smarts (as if he has any)

7. I think you also have to note that the Media was eager to paint even the
most minor transgression or even non-story as a scandal. They created the illusion of a corrupt administration to suit their own purposes.

8. One could say
It was impossible for the Clinton ADMIN to even consider commiting a crime and expecting to get away with it. Everyone knew they were under investigation. On the Flip side, the Bush admin is under the impression that the laws do not apply to them. With GOP in charge of everything, there wasn't a counter to request investigations. BIG DIFFERENCE!

In this case, both were smart. The Clinton Admin was smart enough to know they would get caught farting in the wrong room. The Bush Admin was smart enough to know they can do as they please.

10. Smarter because he corrupted the justice system?
Smarter because he destroyed the FDA...ask your friend over for a nice spinach salad and grill him a hamburger.

Tony Soprano must be this guy's idea of Einstein.

11. If the bushes are so smart then why
do we have the largest budget and trade deficits in the history of our Nation? Why is the dollar at it's lowest value since 2000?

While Clinton managed to show a surplus, bush can't even break even.

Who would you trust with your money? A business manager who paid his company's bills and had no loans, or a man who put is company into huge debt with excessive loans he has little chance of paying back? Which do you think is smarter?
