Tommy Chong on Colbert is hilarious
Colbert took him to task for flustering Contessa whats-her-name about Paris Hilton.

He said Paris needs to be punished. He would put her over his knee and "give her such a lickin'".

Colbert said with talk like that, Tim Russert would never invite Chong on his show. Chong retorted, "Who's Tim Russert"?

2. That was great. By the way, he explained his interview...
I thought it was rather telling that his interview on tv earlier this week was done without him being told he was being filmed at that moment. What I mean is, I think they tried to set up Chong so he'd look like as much of a fool as possible. By not telling him the cameras were running, I think it was an attempt to catch him off guard.

3. Yes, but...WHY did they invite TOMMY CHONG anyway? It's impossible to make him look stupid IMHO
His behavior is legendary.

5. Oh yeah. I forgot that part. The irony of it all.
Haha.

I would guess they think he's the Democratic ringleader or something. He's our spokesman! There's probably a stoner smiley face that should go here. :)

7. He is the study in contrast with P. H. He did not get house arrest. He got 9 months
Check out the case, who brought it, why, etc. He was persecuted for being a liberal by wing-nuts.

14. It's a case I will never forget.
AND a $109k fine.

If I recall, he was arrested literally minutes after "some law" was passed. And talk about a bullshit witch hunt. What a waste of resources and energy and time. Chong is better than all of the Яepublicans combined.

I'm totally asleep here still. Pardon me if this post is nearly devoid of any meaninful content... Argh! COFFEE!

6. Tommy just served nine months as a political prisoner of the Bush InJustice Department
He was railroaded into prison by a Bush minon who just was hauled before Leahy's committee in the U. S. Attorney's firing scandal. More politization of Justice at work.

4. LOL, I love that guy
Looks like the 'bong-bust' intimidation didn't work too well on Mr Chong.

9. I was sitting in a hospital around the time he got out of prison
and he was on Leno. He gave the Justice Department both barrels. It was funnier than hell.

11. I was dying...
Leno was playing the perfect straight man to Tommy, like asking him if they found any pot.

Tommy looked at him like he was an idiot and replied something like, "I'm Tommy Chong, man."

I nearly fell out of my chair.

16. That's funny!
It's a badge of honor to be thrown in prison by the gooks who trumped up charges on Tommy Chong!~

17. I really like and respect Tommy Chong
I heard his interview on KPFA about his new book and the experience of going to prison.

He's actually a very deep person.
