To any Dem Candidate that skipped today's vote...
Where the fuck were you? What could possibly have been more important than today's vote? Well here's how I feel about it. I don't care how many corporate dicks you sucked today on your way to filling your campaign 'war chest', I won't vote for you if you are the last one standing!

If you cannot inconvenience yourself a little to defend our interests, and defer your personal ones, in the job you currently hold, why on earth should I believe you would do so in the job you hope to attain?

Fool me once shame on you etc..

If you missed the vote today - you'll be missing mine on election day - asshole!!!

2. Keeping their powder dry
They were willing to vote, however, if everyone else voted first and there vote didn't mean shit.
But they weren't willing to go out on a limb for democracy.

4. The whole exercise seems silly to me
It just makes the dems look weak. They can't even pass
a meaningless referendum

willing to do what it takes to protect our democracy and get our country back on track.

Sitting around doing nothing is weak.

Capitulating to a corrupt administration is weak.

Letting themselves get manipulated with Rovian schemes and wedge issue legislation is weak.

I'm happy to see MY party fight back.

Fighting is rounds; this is round 1.

7. It isn't even just skipping the vote. It's as John Edwards said about the War Appropriations
bill, they didn't take leadership in such an important issue.

9. So now they're standing up to Bush
Even if they didn't win this vote, they challenged him on their own terms. Its a beginning.

10. Yes, the Dems have. This is excellent. The point though of the OP and myself is
Edited on Mon Jun-11-07 07:10 PM by OmmmSweetOmmm
that Biden, Dodd and Obama missed this important vote. Their failure not to make the effort also shows a lack of leadership IMHO.
