What's up with that? Do I believe in Republican Civility? I am a cynic.

Do I wonder if they are waiting for POPPY to throw the first venemous dart (i.e. lie, pot shot, smear) at her? I do.

He promised to personally give her "hell" if she got into the race. And he will.

Will he be above face about it?

No. Not anything beyond saying that he is going to give her hell. Everything else will be a covert activity which he then will deny.

1. We are being set up. They are dying for Hillary to get the nom.
Then the fun really starts.

You think what they did to Bill was bad?

Wait til you see what they do to Hill.

2. Given that they already spent years doing this
I almost wonder if there isn't an anasthetized aspect to it - ala *yawn* from the public that has already heard the litany of villifications against Sen Clinton.

She isn't my choice, a reflexive reaction to a sense of 'dynasty' - and have always thought the same as what you expressed. But it occurs to me that the rw mud machine may have already spent those bullets - to the point where they have less of an impact on pulic opinion.

5. We can only hope. But much of their character assassination of
Hillary has permeated the public perception.

And yes the dynasty thing is a problem for me too.
On the other hand she is a known quantity.

3. you are right.
your post just clicked for me, loud and clear, inside my head. they are setting us and Hillary up!

She's got Poppy's personal warning to her that he will give her hell if she runs.

Coming from the sick barn yarn dog that he is, she might even consider it a courtesy to bill that he even bothered to give her a warning.

They will trample on her reputation to death! That is for sure.

There will be joy in freeperville.

7. Poppy was out giving a speech somewhere when he said something to the effect
that if Hillary got into the race for the white house he would, "personally give her hell."

I can't find my link to the article in which he was quoted, but i may have read it in one of the posts here a while back.

4. Here's the deal ...
As a person who lives in the crossroads between Jesus-land and Freeper-land, I'm here to convey that especially the Right Wing Republicans will seemingly "fall in love with Hillary." In fact, within the open primary states, like here in Virginia, they will organize, a la Lieberman in CT, all their constituents to vote "Hillary" in these primaries.

Was it lost on anyone that Hillary Clinton is the first to TURN DOWN public financing because she's certain to raise MILLIONS of dollars and does not want to be constrained. :wow: :puke: Believe this = A significant percentage of her campaign contributions will come from right wing republicans. :scared:

Why do I claim the forgoing? Besides the fact that it is a valid analysis, as soon as Hillary Clinton is FORCED UPON US as the Democratic Presidential Nominee, the Swift-boaters with the whisper campaigns will swing into action. It will be a hatchet job that will make Kerry's smears during the 2004 election seem like emanating from choir boys in comparison.

HRC is the Republican's Choice, especially the right wingers BUT only for "The Democratic Nomination."

We all know that both the Liberals and Conservatives can NOT stand her as President. Therefore, in The Real World of Presidential Politics, no matter who she selects as the Vice Presidential nominee, The Democratic Party is destine to lose The Presidency, again.

Wake up and smell the Right Wing (and perhaps DLC collusion) conspiracy.
