1. The hearings finished
I believe they left it in the hands of the pet food industry to come up with a course of action. I guess putting painkiller in the food is their answer.

When are we going to take these corporations down? Because that's the only thing that will get their attention.

3. Wow, I didn't hear a thing about them and I'm on
several dog lists.

Do you know what committee they were before?

Thanks.

10. I think
removing corporations all together would be great, but sad thing is they've carefully created the beliefs that we need them and depend on them, for our survival..so they will always have us by our un self sufficient asses. If we fail to learn to rely on each other rather than state and corporation to take care of our needs we are screwed.

11. ummm...you would rather rely on the government for everything?
Particularly this government? Like everything in life there is good and bad in all groups. But the bad ones get much more press than the "good" ones.

And toss the state and the corporation out of my life. I hate them both.

I guess you didn't read my post fully
I said,
"If we fail to learn to rely on each other rather than STATE(as in government) and corporation to take care of our needs we are screwed."

The state is pretty much a corporation these days the distinctions are so blurred. The government more or less is a corporation anyway.

2. I think Congress just came back into session today or yesterday,
so it would be unusual for the hearing to already have been held.

8. Lotsa drugs are in the tap water
http://epa.gov/esd/chemistry/ppcp/media03.htm
http://mswmanagement.com/mw_0606_cleaning.html

Might as well get used to it,Everything is contaminated.
Even bottled water, it's not regulated and the plastic bottle leaches contaminants if left in a hot car.http://home.howstuffworks.com/bottled-water2.htm

Bottled water companies got people paying a buck something for tap water in a bottle.

The animals will suffer like we will as soon as the pollution reaches our end of the food chain and it looks like it is almost there now.

13. Someone get this on Greatest
Because an awareness of drugs in the pet food, at least people will have a better chance of KNOWING what made their pet sick..Maybe if they know in advance and know the problem unlike the melamine, the Vets could save some lives before it gets that bad here.
