Do you think Obama spoke with Charisma and Confidence yesterday?
Im watching Frank Luntz spew his crap on Hannity and Colmes (I know, that is my first mistake). Apparently, the people he polled said he spoke with little confidence and charisma. I was absolutely shocked. Did anybody get that really from the debate last night? Because I thought he did a lot better than the last one and did very well for himself. Luntz seems to think he finished in last place. Am i simply blinded because of my support for Obama?

1. Every word of of Luntz's mouth is designed to shape opinion
not gather it.

6. just take a sampling of comments on this board
and you'd have a hard time telling what a Democrat is. I think the most important thing to remember is that Luntz has an agenda, period.

2. I don't think he hurt himself last night, and he did do better than the
first debate. I also don't think he SHINED with charisma and confidence.

You know, I find it quite amusing that everyone seems to have a different opinion about who won or lost last night. That tells me NOBODY won or lost ANYTHING!

4. I think he did well but
he isn't his best at a debate. Maybe too much importance is placed on them to begin with. In '04 I was for Clark, he did poorly in the debates but if you saw him in a one to one or town hall meeting on cspan it was clear that he would have been a good President. Obama is better when he can speak more freely, he is very inspiring and genuine.

8. I agree. I think he shined in the faith forum today
He was by himself and simply answering questions to a large audience. He had fifteen minutes to just talk.

Though people here see the words faith forum and just tune out.

7. I didn't see the whole debate. However, I'm not looking for those
two things in a candidate first and foremost.

9. He looked good, but not beacuse he was slick.
He came across as honest though fumbling from time to time to me. However the polls I have read put him at most popular in the debates, probably precisely for this reason.

12. Luntz is scared of Obama and wants to change the national perception
Luntz's (as well as Rove's) formula to attack a candidate is to go directly after their strengths.

Obama is confident and charismatic when he speaks...so the Magic Luntz Machine will spew that he "looked nervous, unconfident, squeamish...blah...blah...blah....

It's an OLD game.

If anyone can watch the debate and point to me the minute/second sequence where he appeared as Luntz suggests, I'd greatly be interested.

14. Thats just the thing, it wasnt only Luntz. He had video of alleged democrats saying these things
They loved John Edwards, Hillary, Biden, but hated Obama. I just didnt get it and the only explanation I could think of is Luntz did something, but what.
