7. As much as I like the news, this is a crappy poll
A "margin of error of +/- 5 percentage points" is garbage. An MoE of 3% or less is where the line begins on a decent poll.

Add the irrelevance of national polls at this point. National polls will only make sense after Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina have voted next year...February 6 national polls will be a lot more meaningful after the national primary the day before.

9. If this makes you over-confident, then that's not good either
Hey, I like the news...but if I was talking to someone saavy about political polls, I'd have to say it was two bad things:

1. A national poll from a fairly small pool of people
2. The poll had a MoE of 5%

I would then get laughed at for citing a crap poll as "evidence"...

17. It's Gallup
Always favors Republican viewpoints...

Republicans want Hillary to be the nomination. Gallup will keep reinforcing that right up to the election. Hillary isn't electable, and they know that. They have to bury Obama - they don't want their candidate going up against him or Edwards.

This is only news that the Republican spin machine is in place...

11. Just another PUSH POLL
They probably pushed the respondents to either choose Clinton or Obama. Just another example of the corporate news picking our candidates.

14. Maybe it is because Edwards polled more than 20 points behind the two with or without Gore?

12. Why do they conduct polls such as these
when the election is 17 months away?

Oh, yeah — it's so they'll have polls to report about.

13. And the Dems have NO other candidates? Why coverage of all the GOP and
only results for Hillary and Obama?

16. Indeed it is.
Superb for the Status Quo.

I was really, really worried for awhile that Americans would wake up and want real change, but I have to be honest with you, I feel better about things after seeing this Poll.

Thank God this country is not waking up.

I can't imagine what this place would be like if it did.

Expect now to have speculation that Obama, now that it is obvious Hillary is going to win, is angling for VP. SARC
