In your opinion , is there time to stop this Iran attack ?

I hear and read all sorts of things lately . Most of it looks like the attack will be soon .

Then I hear due to things coming out of the Libby trial that there will be grounds for impeachment since it looks like bush and cheney knew about the so called "leak" .

Then there is the rather weak none binding resolutions and still funding the war . Then there is the impeachment off the table .

Most of what concerns me is time left . Will this new pressure simply cause the Iran attack to happen sooner , this is what I tend to think .

Impeachment takes time and bush and cheney will know just how long they have if impeachment suddenly goes off the table .

I am concerned that bush and cheney are doing all they can to get this attack going asap .

3. This war was set in motion a long time ago.

The window of opportunity for the war is closing, but not fast enough. I remember that we could not delay the invasion of Iraq because our troops were already in place in Kuwait and the weather was getting warmer. The invasion force for the next war is already in place or nearly so. No matter how lame the provocation will be, once we launch, it will once again be unpatriotic to challenge the Supreme Idiot.

As pressure from the Libby trial continues, and pressure from congress gets greater... the Decider will move to initiate the attack. There has to be a reason that there are 3 Carrier groups in the gulf! Wish I could be more optomistic, but not seeing anything around this. Sure wish they would give it a very broad look though, cause I don't see the large countries in the area just sitting by this time.... ie: Russia, China, etc. JMHO

5. No, there isn't time to stop it -- largely because there isn't anyone seriously trying to stop it.

Congress will keep dithering on about Iraq until the first bombing run over Iran is a fait accompli. And AIPAC will ensure that no Congresscritter will dare object.

6. I don't think it will be stopped.

I still think Israel will start it. I don't think * has the political capital to start it. I think we will see Israel suddenly start dropping bombs as we did with Lebanon. Then we will see the American force go in to finish the job.

Unfortunately, I don't think we will see anyone in Congress stand up to them. They didn't stand up when Lebanon was bombed. I think we will see our Democratic congress make speeches about defending Israel.

The only way I can see it might be stopped is a massive campaign of citizens calling and writing their congress critters. Maybe, if they got enough letters before it happened they might grow a spine and try and pass some legislation in advance.

7. No, I think it will happen in the next few days or weeks

the MSM has already started the propaganda campaign, all we need now is some lame evidence that Iran is involved in Iraq. I predict we will claim Iran is targeting our aircraft and start bombing their defense sites within a few weeks. Then there will be some kind of attack on our troops in Iraq that they claim was backed by Iran, then the bombing will begin. Just like always the American sheeple will back their President and if you are against the war you will be a traitor.

9. It COULD be stopped. But it probably WON'T be stopped

If congress had the will, this could all be over today. Iraq, Iran, Bush, Cheney, the whole lot of treasonous PNAC'rs. But, our fine congressional reps are playing it soft. They are all to busy posturing and co-ordinating their exploratory committees.
