3. It is a little tricky
Particularly because some of them match up better against some candidates than others. Certainly a worthwhile exercise.

4. This is the most important question.
Also, it is important to consider not just how we feel about and react to the candidates but how other voters will feel about them and react to them. I tend to like smart people and smart candidates, so I thought Kerry was wonderful. But I realize that Kerry's thoughtfulness was a bit of a put-off to a lot of voters who want to see energy and even impulsiveness. Kerry always thought about every aspect of an issue. Many voters don't have the patience for that. I did not appreciate what a drawback a trait that I consider to be valuable would be during the campaign. I'm just using that as an example.

I wonder if Hillary's poll numbers are high in part because she is more assertive in her style than say Edwards. A lot of Americans fall for the assertive personality. And a lot of the Americans who fall for the very assertive personality are Republicans who might vote Democratic if they find a candidate that makes them feel secure. I'm still partial to Edwards, Obama, CLark and Gore (if they run), but I think you are right to focus on how the candidate we pick will match the Republicans' choice. All of our candidates are on the same page as far the general policy is concerned.
