Poll question: which candidate has the experience and knowledge needed to be President ?
who can do the job, day in day out, including:

  • being a useful leader figure for the nation,
  • winning Beltway knife fights
  • identifying and acquiring competent advisors
  • formulating sound foreign policy
  • interacting successfully with international government and business leaders in the interests of all human beings and the planet
  • formulating sound economic/monetary/trade policy
  • formulating necessary and pertinent environmental/energy policy
  • formulating necessary and sound immigration policy
  • formulating security policy sophisticated enough to protect us from genuine threats without infringing on our inherent rights
  • formulating necessary and effective social/medical/educational policy
  • successfully driving these policies through the legislative or executive/agency processes (assuming something approaching a Democratic majority in Congress, if slight)
  • understanding that s/he is First Public Servant and that government is Of, By and For the People, of whom s/he is a member whose peers have given an extraordinary trust to represent their interests and serve them. And behaving accordingly

Who KNOWS enough to do these things ? Remember, KNOWing is different than being able to recite a position paper your handlers have gamed with you. Handlers don't cut it when the chips are down.

2. I give Richardson the nod on experience
Edited on Sun Jun-03-07 11:57 PM by Quixote1818
however experience isn't the most important thing in my book.

I would rate experience like this:

Richardson
Biden
Kucinich
Dodd
Gravel
Edwards
Clinton
Obama

Did I miss anyone?

Who is voting for Obama? He has the least amount of experience (not necessarily a bad thing).

9. The only one who does his homework is Kucinich
As Gravel I think said, no excuses. Senate Intelligence Chair Bob Graham knew the BUsh war lies were lies. All Hillary had to do is talk to Senator Bob Graham to know Bush was full of crap. Who did their homework and is well informed.
Kucinich. He voted against the Iraq war called it a fraud, actually read the Patriot Act and voted against it because he was one of the few who knew what it said.
Healthcare. Only legitimate plan. Health care companies will not work under a Edwards/Obama health care plan. Get real. think they will do a good job should the US Congress end their gravey train with it's 35% factor of waste and graft. And then we realize that trade has drained our economic vitality.
Kucinich is the only one not full of crap.
