What World are folks living in?
Why do they expect Barack Obama to be the radical that the Teabaggers say he is?

Both sides are wrong?
What in the F*ck is the matter with both of these unrealistic totally delusional
people?

Barack Obama is supposed to become President,
and almost overnight, there is supposed to be peace on earth.
what is this?

1. It's almost as if they WANT him to fail
I'm so sick and tired of his loud critics here, Truthdig, HuffingtonPost, and just about everywhere you look. Most of them are Naderites and Kucinich sorelosers, some are ex-Hilary Supporters, but I rather doubt any were Obama supporters.

They have (or choose to have) problems understanding that if he's stuck with a Congress that's hostile, he's not going to get anything done unless WE make them. This happened to President Clinton as well. George Dubya had NO such problems.

The first sign of trouble was when President Obama signed the order to close Gitmo and then Congress, with a near perfect 100% vote, voted down funding so he couldn't bring Gitmo detainees into the U.S. for trial even when promised to lock these innocent-until-proven-guilty detainees in Max Sec. Prisons. He's still doing it, but only few at a time, but superficially seen, he's working too slow and critics among reich-wingers, corporate media, and "democrats" are saying he's dragging his feet without holding Congress responsible for their inaction.

That's when I knew he was going to have a HARD time getting his policies, and thereby his promises, through. I'm only happy that he's very persistent. I hope people start watching the actions (inaction) of Congress as well as the President while they get help with treating that "Bush/Cheney Syndrome", a mental condition comparable to the Stockholm Syndrome, otherwise there's no hope for them.

20. I also think that many have been listening to freepers much too much
that they actually believe the messiah thing. Yes, some people really are that delusional and dumb.

I think our President is doing a terrific job considering the huge egos in the Senate and House and the many DINOs that have infiltrated the Democratic Party. I think he's doing a bang-up job showing us what kind of Democrats we've sent to Congress, those that campaign on progressive, Democratic values only to turn around the moment they drop in their seats, and vote against them.

Although they appear to fight him each step of the way, doing the damnedest to slow down or deny any policies he has campaigned on, our President is so smart he just finds ways around them and does what he promises anyhow. Think about the 400 lobbyists he's removed already, and his bringing in Gitmo detainees for trial in the U.S. despite Congress having voted against funding for it.

I truly feel for him, though. It can't be easy working in an asinine, hostile environment, but I hope his poll numbers help tell him, that no matter how much BS the corporate media, the ultra-liberals, and the reich/rightwingers spout 24/7, the American people by and large stand behind him.

GOBAMA!

2. The people who are so vocal complaining about Obama
would have complained no matter who was President.
They are chronic malcontents. Nothing and no one is ever good enough for them.
Honestly, I feel sorry for them. They must have very miserable lives.

this in this particular forum.

8. I could have sworn that I posted here so that I didn't have to hear
the "putting his feet to the fire" justifications of those who pounce on anything and everything that relates to what they think this President is doing versus what he should be doing.

Isn't this forum reserved for those who aren't interested in constantly excusing the "24/7 Obama is a piece of shit" naysayers who live in a world where their President is a dictator and the Black guy is supposed to come out and whip everyone into line and get it done despite a fucked up scheming media and a scared to death status quo driven congress?

Cause that's what I thought, which is why I came here.

I have heard from others what you are offering again and again.
Do I have to hear the same thing here too?

13. Seems like it doesn't matter, because they appear to be the ones
who make the rules.....

I thought that I would be assured in coming here,
that I wouldn't have to read more shit stained "uber supporter" bullshit,
from people who live in a world that is only dictated by the rules that
they have set forth.

15. They are breaking DU rules if they do. Inform accordingly if the usual suspects show up.

21. Just take your dog out for a walk and talk to your neighbors and you will
see how out of touch this place is.

The issues that generate a hundred threads here aren't even known by the average person.

Part of the distortion is that the cable folks talk about the things that we talk about so it all seems to validate each other.

Fox and MSNBC combined don't reach 2% of the country.

22. True. Stepping outside the "DU Box" is refreshing and informative.
To spend too much time on DU (specifically GD and GD-P) is to get the idea that Obama is worse than Bush ever was, which in the larger scheme of things (i.e. outside DU) is just not true.

One of the things that always cracks me up is reading all the negative OP subjects, and then seeing one of Jackeens threads or seeing a news story of one of Obama's appearances somewhere, and watching all the people smiling and taking pictures of him, etc. Some folks need to take their attention off DU for a second and look at something else, like, say, people CHEERING Obama.
