FDL was just on MSNBC with Governor Spitzer. He said that Kagan's
statements as Solicitor General should not be considered personal statements but the statements of an attorney representing her clients and therefore not necessarily very revealing
FDL was asked why she was against the appointment and she responded three times that she didn't know what Kagan's opinion was because it was virtually non existent and on the basis of that she was against her nomination.
She was unable to find a single substantive issue that she disagreed with Kagan on but had 'suspicions'.
Of course a lack of a record is what President's want now that the Senate has become so confrontational on SC picks.
Opposition against Kagan is basically rooted in the principle that Obama has worked with Kagan for a year and knows her personally, they don't want Kagan because they don't trust the President's judgement.

she doesn't have a good reason, only that she opposes everything the President does. The real troubling issue is why MSNBC gave an intellectual light weight like Jane air time

Firedoglake jumped the shark long ago and is run by PUMA in chief Hamsher. She represents a tiny microcosm of perpetual malcontents that are vehemently opposed to this president no matter what he does.

with beliefs similar to yours as payment for that appearance is pathetic.
How else can you describe what we are seeing? I wouldnt be able to live with myself. If and when I go on, I'm fighting for our side or I am not going, and those who would book me know that in advance.
10. Hamsher doesn't like Kagan because she hates Obama.
There's not much more to it than that. FDL is a haven for everything anti-Obama--I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they started pimping those PUMA websites.
I'm starting to believe that the Left are going to bring Obama down if it is the last thing they do....
and then when they are really fucked dealing with someone that won't do shit for them ever, they'll blame that on Obama too!
Guess for them since they are unhappy anyways.......they figure they might as well be super unhappy, without regard of all of the folks that will be hurt in the process.
