TPM said 4 Dems who voted no last time said they would switch to yes. Pelosi is sure making noises that she has the votes. My understanding is that since the CBO scoring didn't come out until yesterday the vote can't be until Sunday. Does anyone know what time?

Is there a place that is updates keeping score of the votes? The WaPost article had us at 160 (ack) and I got nervous. I think that didn't leaners. I tried to call my Congressman (blue dog no vote) all day and the line was busy. I've call several times before and I'll try again tomorrow. Things are heating up! I've never gotten a busy signal at any of Jim Matheson's office numbers before. All we busy all day.

6. thanks grantcart! Totally up to date. I'll be watching all weekend.
hope it passes (and like all of us, wish it was better but still, this is a start and without it I fear we'll be out of power)

2. We're in the same boat..kinda..
My blue dog is voting no and I tried his two offices earlier when I was on break and they were both busy so long I had to go back to work.. but, I called him a few days ago and the week before and have sent two letters..as have my friends in the District.

The Working Families of New York want to primary him or have 3rd party candidate this Nov.

3. Oregon has 3 Dem Reps who are waffling
I can't even believe it. We just passed a tax on insurance policies. We have subsidized insurance and a pre-existing pool. Adults qualify for Medicaid here. They're voting against a plan that Oregonians have already proven to support.

It would be nice to get the Medicare reimbursement fixed, but it's not like that issue isn't going to come up again and again.

Very frustrating.

4. Could it be
a question, of "We've got ours; why should we pay for anyone else's"?

5. No, it's probably a combination
DeFazio just went wishy-washy today over the Medicare reimbursement part. Wu has a lot of seniors in his district and they're probably buying into the Medicare cut scares. The new guy, Schraeder, represents a farming area and it was always tough for Darlene Hooley too. About half of those folks probably oppose Oregon's health plan too.

The 2000 election seems to have convinced people in this state that the vote is closer than it really is. None of these guys are at risk, at all. I really don't know why they're running this right down to the wire.
