Who We Are:
We are Strong Democrats, Smart Idependents and Good Greens grounded in the world of political reality.
We are Progressives who understand quite well that this President is not perfect,
and that Rome, once burned wasn't rebuilt in a day, or even in two and without help.



What We Do:
We aren't into tearing into the Democratic party just because we can,
because we don't want and don't need Republicans to win by default in the upcoming election.

Of course, that doesn't mean we won't constructively criticize,
but we contribute to this forum because we prefer our political discussion sans venom.

We may disagree with some of President Obama's policies, while liking others plenty,
and in fact that is the norm in this forum.



What We Don't Do:
We don't lose sight that Barack Obama is our President,
and that he has the power to do great things in a nation that has not experienced such
since before the first 8 years of the first decade of the 21st Century.
However, we are mindful that he needs our help, not so much our ire.....and certainly not about everything!

That's who we are, and that's what we do!

I discovered BOG only a few weeks ago by accident and am really happy to find a sanctuary from all the nastiness and negativity out there. I have been a strong supporter of President Obama since the get go. Even though sometimes he does things I disagree with, I never let that take over the bigger picture. Even during the election when people were getting pissed because they thought he wasn't fighting back, I didn't waver and still haven't to this day. In fact, I was listening to Will.i.am's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wai6OM3YKTk">"It's a New Day" just this weekend and those emotions of excitement that lie under the surface flooded back.

PS Your "entire article" comment at the end is exactly how I feel, too. That's one thing that does seriously irk me! You'd think that people would learn after making fools of themselves so many times, but it appears that they don't.

Seems they have. I didn't get much news while I was traveling but did hear the SOTU and CNN International played Obama's remarks to the GOP without interruptions or comments. I was floored. Not even one pundit to come on and refute everything he said.
