Imagine having a job, where you have multiple, ill-informed bosses who have no idea what you have to do to get your job done. Half your bosses didn't want to hire you in the first place and do everything to make sure that you fail.

The other half subject you to unrealistic expectations assuming you are an all powerful dictator and don't realize that you have constraints on what you can do. When you don't meet their unrealistic expectations and fast enough, they badmouth you to everyone, accuse you of being disloyal to the company and not wanting to do your job, and they threaten to have you fired.

In the law some clients are like that. They think of a lawyer not as advisor but as an instrument to get their way. Tell them the law fails them on a point and they think it is a failure on the part of the lawyer. At least that relationship is one on one and so it has some faint rationale. But make it the President and it's absurd. When you see these laundry lists of what people want from Santa Claus Obama, you realize they're thinking they are right above all in a way that one thought was a republican thing.

When I see him in news clips going about his day, from one meeting to another, I can just tell he's busy getting things done.

I think that speech in Ohio the other day was an indication of his frustration that people don't know what has been accomplished, and how hard he and his staff have been working. I mean, should he have to trumpet every action he takes?

We elect a President to work for us and get the job done. Damn it, let him DO it.
