:-)

This undated photograph of a new anti-fur campaign on the side of a van, released by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), shows (L-R) country singer Carrie Underwood, U.S. first lady Michelle Obama and talk show hosts Oprah Winfrey and Tyra Banks.

1. I wonder if the FLOTUS
gave her permission for her image to be used for this campaign? She certainly looks lovely (as usual).

I've had my concerns with PETA and their ads over the years. I stopped donating to them and went local org's. with my animal support dollars.

2. Good question~ One would certainly hope so..
To ask all of them for that matter. If so then this is an amazing quartet of women to highlight "Fur Free"ness.

3. Yes, definitely a stellar group
I'd love to see more of this flavor in their campaigns.

4. No, she didn't, according to the LBN threads on this..
I think that is from her official portrait (the one where she is standing next to a table of flowers in a room at the WH?)

6. And, the burning question is how
they even know Michelle is "fur free" if they didn't have permission?

Maybe they want the controversary of this if they didn't get permission?

8. Controversy is as mother's milk to them; I'm sure they asked permission of none of those ladies...
... and are ready with immediate defenses of their conduct when someone calls them on the falsehood, as they surely will. Defenses like: "If Michelle is not fur-free she should be"; or, "f Oprah doesn't want her name and image used in this ad, that must mean she's in favor of skinning baby kittens."

What PETA wants is publicity, and they really don't care how they get it.

Hekate
