Memorization
My son is an Aspie.

One of his gifts is his ability to memorize most things.

He sees everything in patterns and can remember mundane details.

However the thing that impresses me the most is his ability to memorize pieces of music very quickly.

Yesterday we forgot his one piano book and he played an entire sonata from memory. I know he can do this but it always shocks my me and the piano teacher.

1. Their memories are astounding.

My son memorizes dates from history like no one else I know.

I hope your son goes very far with his musical talent!

2. When my younger brother, of blessed memory,
made his first suicide attempt and was hospitalized, I was asked to give the family history to the social worker. I have a very good ability to recall dates and such.

History was one of my favorite subjects in school.

Mine has an eidetic memory
His father does too, though, so I guess he might have had it even if he didn't have autism.
