4. I am supporting Obama....
...but I for the life of me, can't understand how anyone who claims to be a Democrat can say that if Hillary gets the nomination, they won't support her. Has she been perfect, of course not, and even if I thought so, most others would disagree. But she has proven to me that she is a good person, who does care about people, and is on the right side of the debate much more often than not. While it looks unlikely at this point, I would be proud to have her as my president.

6. I love DU, but...
I love DU, but that is truly a sad commentary on the current state of DU. I only hope that once a candidate for the GE is chosen, we can all finally remember why we come here in the first place. And I pray it is to all rally around the Democratic nominee, and not to continue the cheap shots and petty bickering that we have had to tolerate up until this point. We're better than that, or so I thought.

22. Do you really think BO cares about women
and children? Those 'present' votes truly bug me...he doesn't seem to have any conviction on Choice. Do you think that weird church he belongs to is anti-choice? I've just seen its website and find it creepy. But then I'm a firm believer of separation of church and state.

I don't trust BO...I read today he wants to put Lugar in his cabinet....and Hagel. Is he RepugLite?

And his Health Plan that doesn't cover mothers and fathers. He has to know that 40% of births today are out of wedlock....he doesn't seem to care if the single mother gets sick and can't take care of the child. I find it very troublesome. In a way, it reminds me of how the Anti-Choice have no regard for the mother and just care about the fetus. I see parallels.

Your thoughts?

34. My thoughts
I've been pretty much on the fence with Hillary and Obama all along, but I have to admit, in the last 72 hours or so, I am leaning more towards Hillary, to the point that I regret not having voted for her in my states primary. My biggest concerns about Obama at this point are NAFTA and "that weird church" as you (accurately) put it. And Lugar!, give me a break. I just trust him less and less each day.

Such kind and fair comments from an O supporter have become a fast vanishing commodity on DU anymore. Thank you so very much for this.

9. I applaud CBS
For a MSM outlet, they have really risen to the occasion on this one.

They did a good job on the Barack one as well.

Brava!

10. It's rare to see something this fair,
CBS must be trying harder. I haven't watched in a while, and I sure haven't seen anything this fair on the cable channels. That goes double for the Misogyny Channel.

Did anyone see the SNL debate skit last night? It is so funny - until you stop and think about how much influence the media has had on the current standing of the Democratic candidates.

Yeah, but CBS made it all up, didn't they? :sarcasm: That 'Clinton Broadcasting System', as the anti-Clinton camp calls 'em?

20. Many, in the hysteria of the competition, attack her
She is a remarkable person and politician, extraordinarily gifted and talented, and accomplished. Seeing this video is a reminder of how fortunate we are to have such good people to choose from in this election. People who are enthusiastic for Obama shouldn't attack and berate her as if she is the enemy; we should value her, she is an asset for us and we should treat her as such.

24. That is such a wonderful comment!
Actually made me want to cry...oops, can't have that, can we?

Seriously (and I was serious there, too!), thanks so much for pointing these things out. It just all gets lost in, as you say, the hysteria of the campaign. How sad to watch how so many have vilified her, and they don't even know half of what she's really done in service to others.

25. You seem sane....a lovely post about
HRC. Thanks. Most of the new posters have been...oh just let me say, not nice.

Our culture hates women. That's the battle of this century...to overcome the last 'ism,' sexism.

Did you read this:

Welcome to DU...but maybe you'll feel differently after reading the above article? I thought it raised some very interesting ideas. Others were offended.

21. K and R....before
working for the Children's Defense, she started the FIRST Legal Aid Office in Arkansas EVER...then Jimmy Carter asked her to come on the national board.

Thx for posting. People don't know half of what's she done. Women are too modest...she needs to mention these things...not just say 35 years of service.

23. Yes, she should really emphasise these important facts about her years of service.
I know that it's hard for women to really trumpet their accomplishments, but it's got to be done.

:kick: once more!

33. Bottom line- While Obama may be a great guy and all that,
Hillary has proved her dedication to working for the good of this country for the most of her life.
I say let's see how Obama continues to dedicate his life for the good of this country.
THanks for posting this video. So many people really don't know much about Hillary outside of the fact she is a woman who has the audacity to run for president.
