It's not that I have anything against the Obama reference. I don't. But in the past, Maher's final New Rule let him pontificate about a topic. I especially remember the talks about red/blue America, California as a way of life, and the stupidity of "moral" pharmacists. They were fun. He hasn't done any of these in the two weeks since the writer's strike, and I hope he does some new ones soon.
