1. Barack is so smart here.
"I respect John McCain for his half a century of service to this country."

Keep reminding them how old McCain is. 50 years sounds like a long time. But half a century sounds like an eternity.

3. I love that. One of those half compliment/half slam statements.
I liked his little boxing gig there - he was cracking the crowd up.

2. I'm not a follower. I'll admit, sometimes he's tired and repeats the same stump as usual...
Edited on Tue Feb-12-08 01:13 AM by Bicoastal
...but in this clip, he's really at the top of his game. Polite to his rivals, but tough and assertive on the offensive.

5. He really looked like he was having fun!
I like the way he builds people up, but still makes his case as to why we should vote for him.

6. That was a great response to the Republican Party!
They said, "We punch harder than Hillary." I'm really hoping tommorrow that Maryland tells Barack. You wanna fight republicans? Yes you can! Because WE got your back.

7. I love how after the joke...
which is simply used to gather in the audience, lighten the mood and show how comfortable he is with himself, Obama gets down to business and shows McCain is indeed the "party of the past" and on the wrong side of history. A smart campaigner who uses rhetorical approaches wisely.

8. What a refreshing change!
After 8 years of watching Bush and the Republican attack and slander war heros, it's great to see a politician do things the RIGHT WAY. That's why this man needs to be our next president, he is a GREAT man (not just a great politician).

11. It was exactly the right thing to say
Obama has to show that he can be fair negotitate and he is also tough. He also has to show he will do his upmost to protect this country from harm.

As he put nicely - McCain will be just like a hair extension of Bush.

12. He has integrity. He puts things nicely and doesn't stoop to mudslinging
like the other candidates. That's just one of the many things I admire about the man.
