A new campaign video for Hillary Clinton paid for by her campaign (so it says).

I guess it's suppose to attract the youth? I'm part of the youth (early 20s) and I'm not impressed. It's funny, but not in a good way.

2. It was an absolutely pathetic appeal to the youth vote. Like grandma doing a crunk dance.

6. A miscalculation by a goateed thirty-something, my guess.
When I was in my mid-30's, I suffered from the illusion that I was in my 20's. Now that I'm in my early 40's, I suffer from the illusion that I'm in my 30's.

:hurts:

9. Exactly.
And I know, because 12+ years ago, I was one of those goateed 30-somethings, sitting there with clients going on and on about how thy should take advantage of the new social-networking technology (although we didn't call it that then, it was more like "community message boards" or some such) and set up these message boards where you could "create a buzz" about your product and win the hearts and minds of the technologically savvy youth by posting positive stuff about your product on the internet.

Boy, was I ever wrong, wrong, wrong! Never anticipated the flipside. Those same message boards could be used by disgruntled users of those same, lame products and totally sink 'em.

5. It looks like a bad SNL skit.

This is not how you appeal to the youth. It reminds me of Mr. Belding on Saved by the Bell, always trying to look cool with the kids, but ultimately looking like a fool.

7. Of course Hillary was in a "band"...
Yeesh, when you think a political ad is a spoof (ah, the power of iMovie and a digicam) and then it ends with Hillaryworldganda, it's like your odd Uncle Ralph at the Easter egg hunt showing you the eggs he hid under his toupeé...

8. Wow. No wonder her campaign manager was fired.

That was one of the lamest attempts at trying to act cool that I think I've ever seen. And I'm seriously not just saying this because I support Obama either. If the Obama campaign did something like this, I'd be pissed off.

Adding insult to injury, when the campaign posted it originally, it's fairly obvious that the comment section was edited. Everybody's like "That was awesome!", "So funny!"... yet it only garners a 2 star rating? Come on, her old campaign team must think young folks are idiots. I can't imagine Hillary approved this.

on edit: left out a word in the subject line...
