7. Lot of good stuff there. You can really see how he thinks things through.
And how he debates...

He doesn't come off as a strong supporter of the PATRIOT Act before it's passage in one clip. I think he would have at least read it before voting.

2. Interesting
Before Obama, there was no more transformational figure in the party this decade than Dean. And now Barack is taking Dean's 50-state, grass-roots oriented model to a whole new level. I'd like to be a fly on the wall when these two talk. If Barack wins, their relationship can fully evolve right out in the open. Wouldn't that be nice?

11. That's good to know...
This video really brought back memories ~ those Dean rallys were so exciting, just as I'm sure the Obama ones are.

8. I supported Dean in 04
And I am supporting Obama in 08

Not that it would happen, but I would love to see Dean in an Obama administration.

9. I found his comments about being a governor
rather than a Senator really interesting. I think that some of us who are neutral between the two candidates look at their Senate records and have a hard time distinguishing between the two. If one had been a governor, there would have existed a clear difference.

12. Obama is no Dean.
This is one of the things that *really* bugs me about the Obama campaign.

They are trying to pass him off as the natural successor to Howard Dean, pointing out how he "opposed the Iraq war before it started", but listen to Dean, HE opposed invading Iraq because he felt it "unnecessary" and "wrong". Obama on the other hand opposed invading Iraq because "he didn't see an exit strategy", and you'll note in this video that he never said he "agreed" with Dean on this issue, only that he "respected" the Dean campaign.
