1. Orleans - I think he has his story wrong...
I agree with him that 80% of voters cast votes on optical scan paper ballots counted by machine.

The other 20% of voters cast their votes on paper ballots counted by hand.

I thought that I understood that the discrepancy in votes cast for Obama and Clinton was between optical scan ballots counted by machine versus paper ballots counted by hand.

Zennie is saying that there was a recount already - and I don't think there has been a recount of either type of ballot.

I am pointing this out only because I think it is very, very important that we always be as accurate as possible when we discuss the issue of why we have to count votes accurately and allow double-checks when voters are concerned.

There hasn't been a recount yet.

But... He is right in his numbers.

Obama won with the hand count, and the numbers got flipped in the diebold count.

Now, the hand count was done in smaller...rural type area and the large cities used the machine. You would think, that in thelarger cities you would have more for obama and in the country you'd have more for clinton... since everyone is looking for change... right?
