9. Seems the "drugs" took him deep into his soul and he didn't like what he "saw"
The real conversion will have to been seen to be true if he can come out the other side. After dealing with the pain , anger, humiliation, loss of control and fear that all patients who enter the hospital with their lives on the line and their hearts on their sleeves, will compassion be the lesson he really learns.

Or will it be the lesson of "how dare they treat me that way" and if they treat me that way how will they treat you regular no bodies. The fact is in the hospital we are all exposed to this treatment. Money, good insurance, and name recognition will shied you to a certain degree. But none of these things can shied you from the humiliation, the fear, the vulnerability you fear when you become dependent upon another for your very life.

This should be a lesson he takes away from this experience. People who are in need are vulnerable and are in fear. Do something to help them. Do not judge how they got there or how you yourself would never get in that position. Anyone who knows anything knows that is not true. There but for the grace of GOD go thee.

So get off the Drugs as fast as the pain allows, keep a journal of all the feeling you are having during this time. Reflect on others who have seen much harder times with much less resources, and then use the resources you have available to YOU to do some good.

Then we'll check in on your conversion into the human race.

We hope to say welcome home.

16. A little Karma for his Braille coffee pots for the blind "joke"...fuck him.
CNN's Beck on the blind: "Just to piss them off, I'm going to put in Braille on the coffee pot ... 'Pot is hot.' Ow!"

http://mediamatters.org/items/200608250004

On the August 24 edition of his CNN Headline News program, nationally syndicated radio host Glenn Beck claimed that Braille on walls (used to identify rooms for blind people) "drives me out of my mind." When he made his comment, Beck was discussing the "politically correct world we live in," which, he claimed, will not allow "stereotypes or sensitive questions" to be broached. He explained that "a blind person would have to be feeling all of the walls to find the 'kitchen.' " Beck then waved his hands about, presumably to mimic the actions of a frustrated blind person. He then said, "Just to piss them (blind people) off, I'm going to put in Braille on the coffee pot ... 'Pot is hot.' "

17. Sure took the smirk off his face... This reminds me of something I always tell conservatives...
Whenever they pull out that old line: A liberal is a conservative who hasn't been mugged.

I always respond with: A conservative is a liberal who hasn't been raped...

And here's Glen. Who's he going to turn to? The free market? Will the market make sure what happened to him never happens to anyone else? Or is what happened to him a symptom of unfettered free enterprise?

20. What? A conservative whacko WITHOUT a handgun?
He said that if he had had the choice the other night to be given either a) more medication or b) a handgun in order to "blow my own brains out" that he "honestly would have taken the gun."

I'm just stunned that he didn't have a handgun with him!

22. Which way will he turn...
I'm not fully understanding what happened, but it sounds like
he went through some trauma, and is in a very emotionally
vulnerable place right now.

Beck is a recovering alcoholic. He was once in an emotionally
vulnerable place before, and look how he emerged. He emerged
a dry drunk. Instead of drinking, his drug was the high he
felt from gaining power and attention as he lied continually
about liberals and propped up the inhumane neocon agenda.

As a result of this experience, he'll either emerge as a more
potent dry drunk---running from the additional pain that this
incident caused.

Or, he will stay in that place--that hurtful place where growth
can happen if you don't go into denial.

He'll either emerge with greater denial and be an even bigger
menace and apologist for the neocon crimes---or he'll have
the courage to have a personal epiphany.

24. What a whining twit. A long victimization promo.
I just read 'What's the Matter with Kansas?' and Beck is obviously one of the champions of the Right Wing "narcissism of victimization" theme described in the book.

And exactly how does Beck's experience relate to that of the soldiers at Walter Reed, and how exactly is Beck's experience a sign of what would happen to all of us if "the government" took over health care. I hear no epiphany, just more of Beck's victimhood and self-promotion.

Especially since he got to go to one of the better hospitals in his area. Oh, and since he mentioned suicide, doesn't that mean that he'll have to surrender his firearms? We wouldn't want any "crazies" out there with guns.....

34. "They don't care about the president of GE"?? ...wow. Line them up and shoot them all!
This sack of human feces is one scary sack of human feces. Should the hospital pee their pants when they work on the president of GE? Should they do a better job on this sack of shit? I think not. Hey numb nuts....wake up and die right. You deserve no better than the lowest of our citizens. You are nothing but a sack of shit, and honestly, you deserve so much less.

I'm sure it was a "pull his head out of his ass surgery", but I can only do my best to hold myself back from saying something as low as he might...like I wish he had make the heart monitor machine make that long steady beep sound...but I guess I can't say that. But I CAN think it.

40. Drinking- folks that is a dry out video
bloated
rambling all over the place
red eyed
whoa is me (so it may be understandable if, you know, he "faulters" a bit)
Near death (you have NO IDEA what I have been through -see parathetic statement above) but yet not
LOOK AT ME!!
You'll see I PROMISE you'll see!!!
You have no idea (oh did he mention that before?)
Glamming onto his wife
Time unaccounted for
He can't find anywhere other than near a major thoroughfare (see the speed of the cars going by) and the folded up flag? ( oh mercy me)
LOOK AT ME!!!

and so on

I have lots of experience around alcoholics and he is not only admitted to being one (it basically is his career) but the recent success (he mentions this) and the holidays ( a KILLER of lost days) and then seeing this video.... he was getting bombed folks. If there is a greater than 50.1% chance that a recovering alcoholic/user is using again don't let them fool you he/she is using something again.

I can't stand him. He has used voice inflection (radio experience) as his entire career. Still I wish him luck. Tough tough tough to beat but it can be done.

45. The situation is that Beck destroys the lives of those w/whom he
feels like. He has no compassion, empathy or endearing graces. perhaps his own suffering will amount to an epiphany and he may see what those who do not have the means to have surgery, medical care or anything else to alleviate pain and suffering have to go through. His own hubris and vanity have done him in, nothing that we here have done.

Beck is laughably bad at all that he does. His acceptance onto the MSM is indicative of why we can't get beyond morons like you to actually solve some problems.

By the way-keep reading here the progressives have been right about everything since we wrote the Bill of Rights.
