2. Teachers have it a lot worse than most government employees when it comes to micromanagement

and "accountability."

Why aren't the people at USPS or the DMV held to this kind of standard (that's more of a rhetorical question, not meant to knock either organization)?

Every single aspect of a teacher's job is meticulously micromanaged by government bureaucracy. Shouldn't the size and scope of government be decreasing after Republican domination since 1980?
