1. Watching this tonight, I got the sense that there are pending fireworks upcoming.
Independent prosecutor. War crimes. Half a dozen criminal acts.

His statements were the most serious I've heard in decades. It's going to be very very difficult to continue ignoring the criminal reality of this racket. Oh yes, he used the word "racket". Nice touch.

4. Right.
Now if something just gets done about it rather than having it all just get swept under the rug and forgotten with the passage of time.

6. This country needs to take care of our problem right now. We can
Edited on Tue Dec-11-07 10:57 AM by higher class
not leave it for another group of nations or a treaty association to do this for us.

Additionally, we really made a mistake by publishing the quote from the CIA guy - to release informtion that this specifically named waterboarding victim caved in 35 seconds is a breach of civility. We caused his people to lose face. It tells the entire world that we know nothing and care nothing about cultural implications of losing face and it is in effect a brag.

We have already established a precedent for our soldiers and citizens who are captured by others to be waterboarded and the speed record everyone will try for is something better than 35 seconds.

The leadership of this country is deplorable.

Each leader who does not speak out and act is a traitor to the citizens.

The first rules of war in the western world were written down over 1000 years ago.

Now we have a United States and Coalition version that is lower than hell.

7. Through 7 years of scandal
theft of elections, lies to take us to war, outing a CIA operative, outright thievery, perjury, destruction of OUR Constitution, despoiling our planet, OMG the list is endless, and through seven years of this I kept waiting for justice, assuming the lead story on tonight's news would feature images of Administration figures in orange jumpsuits and shackles night after night and nothing, not a goddamned thing happened as a consequence to the perpetraitors (sic) and I no longer hope for justice, Democracy is dead in this country. We are little more than slaves, peasants in a neo feudal system. If the media, the courts, the Congress, the Democrats for Chrissake, won't do anything to stop these evil bastards then we are surely lost. I will forever regret that I sold my property in Canada.
