I love the beginning, where he hugs the two women, one of them is the mayor.

1. Biden is looking better and better all the time.
It's hard for me to understand why he isn't in the top tier of Democratic candidates. He is much better qualified to be president than any of the top three and can handle himself in a debate better, too , I think. The leading candidates are great, to be sure, but all have major problems which could make getting elected questionable, while Biden seems to have it all.

5. Biden could win a general in a landslide
He would have a REAL mandate.

2. I'm grateful Biden keeps Iraq in the forefront - of course he acknowledges we
can't move forward on anything until we start moving our troops out, but it seems as though Iraq has almost been forgotten when it comes to the debates and the focus of the media. That's shameful.

I liked the t-shirt reading "I vote for Darfur" - which may be why she was at a Biden event, as Biden has introduced a successful amendment to supplement appropriations, and was instrumental in passing the Darfur Peace and Accountability Act in the Senate. (Darfur, too, seems to have fallen off the radar.)

And that little girl was an absolute angel! Too cute!

4. And the "hugs" were so warm and real
not like the superficial ones you see so often on TV.

6. I think most candidates just wish Iraq would go away, but Biden...
has confronted the issue, as he should. I haven't heard anyone argue that his idea is wrong, have you? I'm sure there is someone out there...probably on here, too. You know how it is with armchair quarterbacks.

Go, Joe!

7. I've heard a few disagreements
about Biden's plan, but they're generally ill-informed.

As for confronting the issue, I'd say that's pretty presidential!

8. I'm liking him more and more.
He's a genuine progressive with the platform we all want (national health, education for all, protecting the environment, etc.) and he has the most experience of any of the candidates. In spite of his 35 years in the Senate he has not drifted to DLC-land but still has the enthusiasm he went in with. Has fought for years (and usually won) for civil rights and women's rights. He can fight the fight and when necessary play the game to get the votes he needs on the bills he wants passed.

I agree with those who say he would cream any republican candidate they put up against him.

9. I like the fact he has read the Iraqi Constitution and ,yes , I
doubt any of the other candidates have.
