How many more jobs are we the people going to allow to leave the county?

Thank you David Sirota.

Just one: Junior Senator from New York.

8. Oh, come on. Surely a few more.
I can think of some other people in Washington that need to lose their jobs, too. But the Junior Senator from New York should definitely NOT be promoted.

It couldn't POSSIBLY be because of her less-than-democratic positions on free trade and job offshoring.

Or the Middle East.

Or Single Payer vs Big-Insurance Health care.

free trader just like her husband and the Repugs. She does the same with Iraq and Iran, she votes to support Bush* then tries to weasel out of it. I think if she is our nominee we are going to lose either way the election goes. I feel if by chance she does win it will be like the elections of 2000 or 2004. We don't need someone that may have a chance we need someone that can win by a large majority otherwise we won't get anything accomplished.

63. I'm not blinded by hate and can comprehend
If Hillary Clinton wins the democratic nomination, I will be voting for her because the alternative is far less tolerable. It's not hate, it's dislike of her stance on issues. Period.

Now there's not enough information in this video clip to make a clear judgment on what she stands for, but there certainly is from all her speeches, all the debates, and her web site. Having her as president would only be, in my opinion, a slight course correction when we need a *drastic* correction to keep from sliding into a depression or at best have yet another four to eight years of corporate greed making the policies of how we should be investing ***OUR*** money, ie, our tax dollars.

Do you think people who have lost their jobs or, if they're lucky to still have one, haven't seen their wages go up at all since '92, would free associate the word "NAFTA" with a joke about Ross Perot's charts? And what do you think union members think about that faux naivete from Hillary? Do you really think all that was just a blurry memory? Is that her approach to NAFTA? She's going to pretend that she wasn't really paying attention to the debates about it back then?

Good luck with that.

They weren't asking her opinion of Ross Perot, they were asking if perhaps he was right about NAFTA. I sould have appreciated a sincere answer to that. Her "All I remember is charts" remark was incredibly Bushesque.

I was insulted by her laughing and her response showed absolutely no respect for the very pressing issue.

The hell that is wrong with "you people" is that she belittled a very serious issue--even if she did it unwittingly, she should know not to try to be cute anywhere near an issue that has had such dire consequences for so many Americans--and continues to...!

And referring to "you people" and "what the hell is wrong with ", is certainly your right to do-but does little to inspire a serious or intelligent response, and does much to illuminate your lack of seriousness and intelligence.

49. This is how Ohio voted for a decorated war veteran who volunteered to be a moving target.

All of that grey represents Bewsh supporters.

Now, can anyone imagine ANYthing changing should the former First Lady named "Clinton", someone who everyone in them grey areas have been trained to hate since 1993? Someone who is unapologetically free trade when Ohio has lost so many jobs (6,800 last month, in case anyone was asking) these past 7 years? Someone who wants to continue this war up past 2013? Someone who still wants Big-Insurance health care?

If anyone thinks Hillary, who realistically is going to divide the left and center (and it's unbelievably naive to think she won't), not pick up fence sitters and mobilize every backwoods, hellfahr 'n' brimstone rapture-right nutcase out from under their porch steps in droves for the sole purpose of "stickin' it to them anti-Murkin commeh Clintons once and fer all!!!!", is going to turn Ohio . . . PRESIDENT CLINTON DID NOT SIGN NAFTA!
GEORGE H.W. BUSH DID!
LOOK IT UP!

<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Free_Trade_Agreement>

History of the implementation

NAFTA was initially pursued by conservative governments in the United States and Canada supportive of free trade, led by Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, U.S. President George H. W. Bush, and the Mexican President Carlos Salinas de Gortari. The three countries signed NAFTA in

:hi:December 1992,

:hi: subject to ratification by the legislatures
of the three countries.
There was considerable opposition in all three countries, especially among intellectuals who stated that it was an ill-conceived initiative. In the United States, NAFTA was able to secure passage after Bill Clinton made its passage a major legislative priority in 1993. During his presidential campaign he had promised to review the agreement, which he considered inadequate. Since the agreement had been signed by Bush under his fast-track prerogative, Clinton did not alter the original agreement, but complemented it with the aforementioned NAAEC and NAALC. After intense political debate and the negotiation of these side agreements, the U.S. House passed NAFTA by 234-200 (132 Republicans and 102 Democrats voting in favor, 156 Democrats, 43 Republicans, and 1 independent against).<5> and the U.S. Senate passed it by 61-38<6>

And Hillery was the future FIRST LADY at the time, NOT a Senator or a Candidate, was she really supposed to come up with a "Universal Heath Care" plan AND Organize the opposition to NAFTA too during her husbands Presidential Campaign?!? Give me a break!

And where's the rest of her Answer to this question?!?

Do you even have a transcript that shows what was actually said, this tells me nothing except that some people here have a really screwed up agenda to help the RW Corporate Media POSs destroy ALL the Democratic candidates by asking these stupid loaded questions, which have no good or easy answers, so they can hand all the Clinton haters out in Blogger world plenty dumb video clips to edit into the latest Clinton attack ad.:banghead:

And Btw, it's thanks to davidsirota, NOT David Sirota!
It looks like a Impostor YouTube account to me. If it was really David Sirota that ran that page, he would most likely have more personal info listed and a link back to his blog or website! Hell, I could probably make a denniskucinich YouTube account and start posting videos about how much I love Midget Porn, but that doesn't mean I'm actually Dennis Kucinich! It's very easy to create an impostor YouTube account.

All that proved is that it's a very clever person running an impostor page at YouTube! Show me a link back to his website or on his website where he links to this YouTube page and I might begin to believe it's him.

Sorry, I've been on YouTube and MySpace and Facebook and AOL too long to believe something like that page without some sort of link back to the guys web page or blog, I get dozens of "Friend Requests" on MySpace and YouTube every week and most of them are not real people, or at least not the person they say they are, they make it very to easy at YouTube to set-up an Impostor page.

60. Because of the context that preceded it.
It was asked in a funny way. You can spin all you want, that will not change that there's nothing here. BTW, I do not support any of the candidates.

62. No, it wasn't asked in a funny
way - here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x70538

I really don't think Blitzer was joking. Put all the spin on that you want, but she does intend to "expand NAFTA" - http://commonsense.ourfuture.org/breaking_clinton_announces_support_nafta_expansion and her upcoming vote on the Peru FREE Trade agreement is more of the same. There is no spin there and really, How is that funny?

many jobs were lost to China and what effect did that have on the increased trade imbalances?

It does not serve the American people to discuss just one of these bills IMO while downplaying others that have caused harm to this nation's workers.
