2. 1,000,000 person citizen's congress - I am intrigued. I can search his site
later for details. If someone can direct me to the magic page I'd appreciate it...

:hi:

3. He says it all
Paper ballots!

Until we get the corporations out of the electoral process, I will never trust an election. We must have learned something from these last two stolen elections!

4. This candidate
has yet to say anything I'm suspicious of. I've been around enough years to where I trust my gut feeling about folks. While there might be some small facet of someone's being that I mis-predict, to the overall picture of someone, my gut's served me well. And currently, my gut tells me I'd need ALOT less antacids in the house if John Edwards were our PRESIDENT!
Hillary on the other hand, she'd be an improvement over what we've got in the oval office currently - but then, so would a cadaver. Maybe she DOES have all the answers like she'd like us to believe, but she's just TOO "cock sure" to put me at ease.
Edwards says he'll trust the citizens of this nation to guide it, not a sense of "I know it all!". THAT resonates with me to my core!

:kick:

5. This is Brilliant
Edited on Sat Nov-17-07 01:13 PM by ihavenobias
Now, I know a lot of you don't believe him, but of the so called "top tier" candidates, can anyone tell me who is promoting these brilliant ideas?

Paper ballots? Public funding of elections? Citizen Congress? Voting on some other non-work day (common sense on that one)?

All of these things go FAR beyond *this* campaign. These are ideas that should be embraced outside of Edwards, they should be embraced by ALL of us, regardless of who we think we're voting for.

These things are all about improving and restoring our democracy, on a fundamental level, and I can only hope whoever wins the nomination has a platform half as good as this.
