Same article as above giving one of her answers to a question
on Firedoglake, apparently she has posted answers to questions
there:

Loo Hoo. @ 7

Specifically, what do we do? I contribute to ACLU, to MoveOn,
to progressive candidates. What?

"This is the right question. Go to AmericanFreedom
Campaign.org — we HAVE to pass this ten point legislative
package to stabilize democracy NOW. So scream and yell at your
representatives and get all your neighbors to. But I think it
is time for tactics from other democracy movements: a national
strike to bring the nation to a standstill — perhaps thousands
of `sit down for the Constitution’ strikes in which ordinary
americans sit in the center of main arteries by teh thousands
holding signs that are enlarged images of the Constitution.
You can start mobilizing that and make sure the signs are
mainstream — Moms for the Constitution, Republicans for the
Constitution. This is what they did in Pakistan. You will be
arrested but what we need now is an outlet for action that
will overwhelm the nation and show that it is not business as
usual. And I believe it is time — this is me talking, it is
not an AFC position — to IMPEACH. PROSECUTE FOR TREASON. SAVE
AMERICA. When Congress hears a groundswell like this it can
force them into another level of action — and talk, talk,
talk. We have five million people now in our partner orgs that
are part of the AFC — and I believe this pressure is starting
to shift the frame; Carter came out against torture, Bruce
Springsteen, Meryl Streep against rendition — it is time for
millions of people to start standing up and saying, these are
violent criminals. This is an emergency. They need to be
behind bars for all of our safety, including
Republicans’."

2. Apologize if you have seen this already
I'm new here so I dont know, but on that AFO site here's a
pledge that we not only should be signing but
sending to everyone in Congress- a good reminder of what they
're supposed to be doing there and especially to Pelosi and
Hoyer and both judiciary committees, house and senate.

"SIGN THE AMERICAN FREEDOM PLEDGE"

We are Americans, and in our America we do not torture, we do
not imprison people without charge or legal remedy, we do not
tap people’s phones and emails without a court order, and
above all we do not give any President unchecked power.

I pledge to fight to protect and defend the Constitution from
assault by any President.

5. Honored to send this to the Greatest! Like Naomi Wolf, I felt it was too
disruptive at this dicey time to pursue impeachment and believed it was best to let this admin run its course, then nail the bastards after the Dems took office.

But then I saw her talk at the UW and I've since become a believer that we NEED to impeach now - Bushco can do a LOT of potentially irreperable harm before they exit.

I also agree these guys need to be incarcerated. A facility like Guantanamo would be ideal.

Thanks for posting this -- and for those who haven't seen it, here's a link to Naomi's UW talk (it's long but riveting)

6. It may not be possible to do that with the administration's time running out.
In the under-a-year we have to go until the election, do you think we can really accomplish all that?

After what they did to Clinton, do you want to shut the government down again?

A plan like that is going to take years to enact, will be incredibly expensive and will bring to a grinding halt anything else that the next administration tries to accomplish. He's on the way out anyway.

8. It is NEVER too late to IMPEACH
Even if there is no trial in the Senate (as with Nixon, who resigned rather than face trial) or the Senate tries and acquits (as happened with Clinton), the holding of impeachment hearings in the House Judiciary Committee, and the voting of Articles of Impeachment by the House, would be IMPORTANT steps toward restoring the Constitution, and reestablishing the Rule of Law.

Remember, the purpose of IMPEACHMENT in not JUST to remove a current President (or Vice President) from office. It is, ALSO (and perhaps more importantly), to set down clear, unmistakable, guidelines for FUTURE Presidents and Vice Presidents, letting them know what actions WE THE PEOPLE will not tolerate from our elected officials.

Is impeachment worth it, even if it means shutting the government down, again? Well, in my opinion, the answer is "YES, absolutely. If that is what it take to wake up America to, and, hopefully to stop, the creeping fascism that has been slowly, and steadily, undermining our (small “d”) democracy for the last seven years."

9. He may NOT be on the way out! According to Dr. Justin Frank, author of "Bush on the Couch"
who was interviewed on last night's Mike Malloy program, when asked as a final question if he believed that Bush would give up power at the end of his term, clinical psychiatrist Frank replied. . .

that he wasn't sure, and didn't think we could be too certain that Bush would actually give up the Presidency in January of 2009!

10. We have more time. There is nothing in the Constitution that says that the legal maneuver has to be
Completed with the clock running out as a new election occurs.

In other words, you could conceivably bring Bush or Cheney up for impeachment in the year 2010 if you wanted.

The only clock that runs is on their mortality. Impeachment efforts would end, for instance, if Cheney's heart finally ticks its last. (As unbelievable as it seems, the man supposedly does have a heart.)
