I think the most interesting part of this video is when one of the board members said "now that you have it out of your systems." Wow. That is called being clueless.

Chicago teachers and students and parents are fighting for existence against the corporate policies of Rahm Emanuel and his helpers.

Here is a little from the script provided at You Tube:

Mr. Mayor, Mr. Vitale, Mr. Brizard
and the rest of the board;
you should be ashamed of yourselves.
The definition of insanity
is to repeatedly do the same thing
and expect a different result.
You have ignored community voice,
community proposals
and have operated schools
as a foreign institution in our neighborhoods.
You know how
to make good neighborhood schools;
they exist in CPS.
You don't care to.

.."We are taking our fight to the streets!
These are our children,
not corporate product.
These are our children,
not corporate product.
These are our children,
not corporate product!

Two paragraphs from the comments caught my eye:

This was really impressive. That chairman really revealed his true colors by saying he hoped the citizens had "gotten out of their systems." No sir, we have not.

Somebody followed up; the chair's "get this out of your system" comment by saying to the chair that "we need to get YOU out of OUR system"

I guess the powers that be in Chicago as elsewhere have the money and ability to destroy the public schools. I think Chicago under Rahm as mayor is closing 10 more this year.

I stand with them in their fight against turning children into products. I stand with teachers in their fight to be respected.

1. Former investment banker rahm is just out to enrich himself & his cronies.
He is the epitome of the type of Dem that destroyed the Democratic Party.

4. Our former Rochester City School District Superintendant...
It's nice to see that Brizard still has accountability following him.

Unfortunately for Chicago, you did not aquire a trusted public official...

I like how his 'official' title in Chicago is "CEO"

How fitting...
