8. more than any chant
I found that powerful. Made me wonder what would happen if she, Bloomberg, Sam Adams, Tony Baloney, and every other willing participant in this were to face that every morning as they leave their home, every night as they leave work.

7. I'll bet she does not sleep well after that perp walk.
Did I hear her aide say to the reporter something like "We've asked for respectful silence'" ?
Weird

14. That long uncomfortable walk lined with protesters, with only the sound of her footsteps, tells me
that it's over for the chancellor. How can she lead when she has lost their respect? It's easy for ambitious politicians to get caught up in the "I'll show the powers-that-be that I can be tough" frenzy, but when it comes to simple everyday life, they're surrounded by the 99%.

15. Wow...the power of their presence is so potent in the silence...
I have the feeling that even if she doesn't resign her position she will be forever changed by this.
We need to remind ourselves that THAT (inner and outer shifts in consciousness and understanding) is the goal, not punishment.
Forgiveness and redemption have to be offered or there is no room for transformation individually or as a collective.

17. I'm glad you posted this.
When I first saw it, I thought how naturally dramatic. An understated but fittingly powerful end to what had happened.

Exceedingly bad judgment was exercised yesterday from UC Davis Chancellor Katehi,

20. The powers that be;
May see this event as a weakness in their fight against OSW. How about the scenario; an agent provocateur is dispatched to one of the Occupies with instructions to cause grevious injury to any person in authority that might quit in the face of their failures against said Occupiers. This will send a message to other authority figures that would think of quitting in the face of public opinion-in other words, 'Pull a Palin.'
