From Alabama, Paul Solman reports on how the nation's toughest immigration law is affecting the state's workers and employers. Transcript.

The narrative:
- Latino activists see this law as a threat to all Latinos not just the illegal ones. Black civil rights activists are in solidarity.
- Once the law was signed, farms lost much of their workforces, and despite a nearly 10% unemployment rate in Alabama, most US citizens in Alabama won't stay on the job very long.
- Most of the interviewed average citizens on the street supported the law, one even framing the law in the context of an "invasion" by illegal immigrants.

3. I'd like to see fatboy smith out there for a day. I question his "durability"
I'd also like to see that pastyfaced white boy that's talking about how the city workers will just have to practice this "hard work" out there without his 2000.00 suit and pretty hair cut. (that would be representative asshole)

Hell, here in sunny Floriduh the workers can't get publix grocery chain to give up a 1 cent increase for picking tomatoes. TacoBell and Burgerking are paying that increased amount, and I'll tell you it's not enough.

4. What is ironic is Republicans are usually all about de-regulation UNLESS it comes to
brown people living right here in America.
