In the beginning, he rhetorically asks, "What do we have to show for 4400 American deaths...?"

However, 4400 is not the correct number of deaths. The number of American servicemembers who have died as a result of the war in Iraq is:
4482 (http://icasualties.org/iraq/index.aspx).

I suppose that to him the 82 subsequent deaths are just not worth caring about.

It is incongruous with his lack of concern that at the end of his tirade he goes on about not spilling any more American blood.

His fact about Saddam's relationship with Christianity is nuts, although it is true that Tariq Aziz, Saddam's deputy prime minister, was a member of the Chaldean Catholic Church. Otherwise, it was probably better to be a Christian under Saddam than a Shiite Muslim.

BTW, how does Fischer feel about religious liberty for Muslims in America?
