2. That is unbelievable...I don't know which is worse...the pepper spray or the clubs.
It seems to me that no one, like a mayor or geo jr. e.g., ever meets with protestors. Meet in public and discuss issues. I've always thought the best way to solve differences is talking so what's with the clubbing and spraying?

10. Batons are Worse than Spray
Spray hurts, and needs to be cleaned out, but batons break bones and give concussions. Much worse.

6. something has been happening
in America for a long time.
we just didn't notice.. Apathy, corporate controlled media propaganda, entertaining with garbage TV and news and they have dumbed down many America people. We are wiser now, protesting and taking a strong stand against those who have driven our Democracy into the gutter. Civil disobedience is a good thing, a necessary thing, for this important cause.

13. It's revolutionary. I have no doubt.
Every time I see a meathead police baton connect with a journalist, I know it just got that much bigger.
How far it goes is anyone's guess.
But, as a policeman,if you beat a citizen for no reason, you've just made a committed revolutionary out of him.
Do you think he's going to be a member of the Police Neighborhood alliance anytime soon? Him her, he she. Etc.

they'll remember that pain for the rest of their life. Guaranteed.

4. Cops are beyond the barricade. That's not a defensive position.

They are going after protesters.

5. Don't know why they are doing this. Just going to rally more to the cause.
Which while the media claims there is no message. It's kinda clear to me. Wall Street is having wine and taking pix while hard working folks are down below. and I don't drink beer so if I can't afford that. fuck it. where's the root beer. Drop some 1919 root beer mini kegs down there and have some fun. :) (no don't throw those. oh the fizz that would make. )

12. The same reason they 'kennel' people. To make the experience painful and / or uncomfortable.
And to keep people in their houses and off the streets protesting.

Fuck 'em.

7. though to watch the corporate thugs beat people,. .
hate to say it (I do support the non-violence stance) however if I was their that suit would have gotten a sukerpunch to the head,. I know it is counter productive but sometimes to just need to fight back.

8. Does the NYPD now serve Wall Street bankers?
A nice big donation from the criminals at JP Morgan and they have become a private security force for the corporate heads of Wall Street. Just another sign that our government is bought and sold.
