Bloomberg: Leave Wall Street Aloooone!!!
By Susie Madrak

You remember billionaire Mayor Mike Bloomberg, right? The guy who had the expensive neighborhoods plowed during the worst snowstorm of the year while the rest of New York City was trapped? Yeah, that guy. Now here he is, trying to push the absolutely baseless charge that Occupy Wall Street protesters are harassing working-class Joes and Janes on their way to work. Why? Because he's trying to build a narrative that will justify the coming crackdown.

Could he be any more out of touch with the rest of us? Read this story by Alex Pareene:

http://politics.salon.com/2011/09/30/bloombergs_annoying/?source=newsletter
“The protesters are protesting against people who make $40-50,000 a year and are struggling to make ends meet. That’s the bottom line,” Bloomberg said, presumably meaning service workers on Wall Street, adding that “we all” share blame for taking on too much risk, not just the financial industry.

“And people in this day and age need support for their employers. If the banks don’t go out and make loans we will not come out of our economic problems, we will not have jobs so anything we can do that’s responsible to help the banks do that is what we need.”

The Gauntlet
by Dropkick Murphys

Well I just got back from a break in the fight
I was weighing in heavy but still feeling alright
all I hear in the distance - mines and shells
here come the sirens wailing another attack to be repelled

Do you think we're gonna make it?
I don't know unless we try
you could sit here scared to move
or we could take them by surprise
it's submission that they want
it's surrender that they need
when we're doing it their way
their aims will be achieved

They're gonna come when you're not ready
when you're not too well-prepared
they're gonna prey upon your weakness
no man's soul is ever spared
you've got to stand up, yeah, and fight them
show them what it's all about
this man is not for sale
there will be no backing down.

Stand up and fight and I'll stand up with you
We shall succeed,
Stand up and fight and I'll stand up with you

They won't get me, they won't get me
though they never cease to try
they won't get me, they won't get me
I would rather fight and die
they won't get me, they won't get me
well my friend will they get you?
when they get you, when they get you
tell me what you're gonna do?

Do you think we're gonna make it?
I don't know unless we try
you could sit here scared to move
or we could take them by surprise
it's submission that they want
it's surrender that they need
when we're doing it their way
their aims will be achieved.

They're gonna come when you're not ready
when you're not too well-prepared
they're gonna prey upon your weakness
no man's soul is ever spared
you've got to stand up, yeah, and fight them
show them what it's all about
this man is not for sale
there will be no backing down.

Stand up and fight and I'll stand up with you
We shall succeed
Stand up and fight and I'll stand up with you

4. The Occupy Wall Street Protesters need to demand clean elections
At the national level. All corporate and private money out of all elections. Period. If awareness was raised for this, it would accomplish so many of Occupy's diverse goals.

9. Those people ma.king $40-50,000 a year should join the protests
on their way home from work. Don't they realize how much the guys they slave for are making and how little they are contributing to our society for the money they make?

There are two really obvious flaws in Bloomberg's thinking:

1) If the Justice Department investigated and prosecuted those individuals who committed the fraud and invested money recklessly in violation of their fiduciary duties or closed their eyes to the fact that others were doing it and therefore were tacit partners in the conspiracy to steal money from investors, savers, pension funds, etc., then we would have clarity and the Wall Street leaders wouldn't have to continue to shake in their boots;

2) If Wall Street would invest money in the US and stop just importing products from the places where they hide their American dollars, then the people who are protesting would have better things to do than hang out near Wall Street -- like jobs and schoolwork.

Mayor Bloomberg -- shortsighted and stupid, just like the rest of Wall Street (of which he is an integral part, a product bought and sold by Wall Street for
Wall Street to defend Wall Street at all costs -- just like Romney, wait and see).
