"NYPD leads thousands of protesters into the traffic lane of the Brooklyn Bridge, before halting the procession halfway across, setting up barricades in front and behind, and arresting hundreds."

In the video, protesters on the pedestrian-area of the Brooklyn Bridge are standing still, while a group of protesters follow cops walking towards the road-area of the bridge.

Climbing down onto the road must have seemed sensible at this point to some of the protesters standing in the pedestrian-area.

2. The protesters said the police allowed them to go onto the bridge
then trapped them halfway over. Thanks for the video. Looks like they were correct. It's possible too that those police officers didn't know what the plans were.

4. The cops had ten buses for arrested people near the bridge
...since Saturday morning, the NY Times reported.

I don't know what individual officers were told about plans, but there was probably a plan at the top for mass arrests on the Brooklyn Bridge since at least Saturday morning.

12. In Reality, its called herding...
It has something to do with genetics and cultural respect for authority.

It's also how evil people with financial power and authority (aka the predator class), have a major psychological advantage over those being herded.

6. Who was the bicycler yelling "Take it!" right before the protesters were led onto the street?
I can't tell for sure what happened here. I'll wait for more videos to show up, and I know there are more out there.

15. Maybe an undercover cop.
Even if not, the plan of the organizers was to march to a party in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

7. THIS is the one to go viral. Those mass arrests were planned.
Good thing there's more people than places to put them.

10. I hope they get a reasonable judge who will dismiss all 700 cases.
And give the NYPD a piece of his or her mind.

11. classic example of kettling,.
lead them (or force them if needed) into an enclosed area,. block all egress and start the process of breaking their will to be active for change. This is NOT what democracy looks like.
