GObama! He blew me away at the Democratic convention for the 2000 election! I have wanted him to run since then and he has my vote for president. His stand on the War and Occupation of Iraq (except for bringing our troops home in 16 months... I want NOW)" is mine. He favors diplomacy over bombs and will WORK for it. I get the same sense of hope that I did from the RFK run in 1968. I pray every day that it doesn't end the same way.

4. my take on the speech

Brief comments.

Obama seems to be reading a speech.

1. Hillary voted for the war, I spoke against it, even though I was advised not to do so for political reasons
2. Hillary did not learn her lesson and voted for KL resolution to give Bush power to attack Iran if he wants to
3. Hillary was not truthful about her vote pretending it was for more diplomacy, not war authorization
4. As a president, I will bring most of the troops home apart from a small contingent to fight al-qaeda
5. I will not be afraid to talk with unfriendly countries and I am not naive as Hillary called me

My take on it. I like most of it apart from part 4.
Al-Qaeda is in Iraq to kill americans. As long as americans are in Iraq, so is Al-Qaeda.

I am afraid that #4 is a cop out and a way to keep plenty of troops in Iraq for many many years.
